    Question

How would i go about adding an effect to a static npc like say a merchant and or seller.

Like which files would need to be edited in order to add an effect

    Or

Which file for a npc that already has an effect would contain a link to its gfx file in which i could just edit a current effect.

    Example picture added to attachment

    Thanks
    Regards

    Re: Question

    Thank you very much

Could anyone tell me why i can get the effect in the picture above working fine in gfx.pak-A but when i add the effects in gfx.pak-B i get these white blocks im almost 100% sure i have added all the required gfx listed in the .ecm file im using and in there correct locations.

There is like eh 5 .ecms total in the folder do i need to add all there .gfx files as well?

    Re: Answer

    1 .ecm file - 1 model.
"white blocks" because you didn't add all textures for the effect(s).

I have similar problem with textures. Where exactly should I add them?

    Re: Question

its doesn't matter where you have your textures located.
    eg.
say this is my texture path
    shaders/new/mount/1/???.ecm
that is what your new mounts texture would be once set but you need to have the gfx located correctly to find the correct locations and files you need to look inside "???.ecm"

At the top of the "???.ecm" file you will want to edit
"SkinModelPath:" to the correct setting so for example
    shaders/new/mount/1/???.smd
Then its just a matter of having the gfx files in there correct locations in the gfx.pck
