Respawn After Release Corpse In Instance

To the best of my knowledge this is controlled in gs.conf, however I have modified the save point for a map and even removed use save point and when I release corpse it continues to take me outside of the walls of another instance map. I am using 343's release and am working on the new a12 Forest Ruins map. Every corpse release teleports me outside of the walls of the old a12 Forest Ruins unless that map is turned off, which it then just revives me back in the same spot I died. Any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated.

This is the entry for the new a12 map

region/precint controls your respawn point.. i think that save point setting is used to set you back to the beginning of an instance after it was closed. example: you are in frost walk and the server goes down. when it gets back online you will be at the start of the instance, instead of the place you were before. so basically your position is forced to save at this coordinates i think.

you will notice, when you mess up region/precint to a certain extent, you will respawn right where you died.

Yeah your right Anubis, Save point is if you DC from an instance it just puts you back to the coordinates and world you have recorded for that instance.

As for changing death/town scroll spawn its in precinct, region just controls teleport portals and safezones.

Well there's a difference (and I think it has been covered here before, but) I'll go over it again...

Similar to what Anubis was saying there is a configuration in GS.CONF (in the LIMIT field) for, ie... if you re-log (you will end up logging in, NOT where you logged out)... That is the USE SAVE POINT variable in the LIMIT field, and you can read even more about that one HERE.

    Spoiler:
USE SAVE POINT would be great to use in the example of: you have an event cave where the cave itself is started (and 'closed') via crontab. As you may/should know, if you attempt to log in a character that logged out in a map that is now closed, they will not be able to log in ~insert~ use - USE SAVE POINT (and specify the point). Now, even if the user disconnects in this 'event cave' (that could very well be closed the next time they log in, and) they will still be able to log in, because you have a pre-set USE SAVE POINT

The other (which is the one your title describes) is where your corpse is released to after you die, and you hit "go to town".

That is controlled in PRECINCT.CLT/SEV and more can be read about that HERE and HERE. Thinking of which, if/since you have my release; that info should already be found in ADMINNOTES.TXT
