Do not approach my GM's/GO's/Web Admins/Server Admins/Friends/Family in any way shape form or fashion in an attempt to gather items that I have. It is unbelievable and hardly acceptable for users from this forum to seek down and hunt out access to content I removed through people I know. If you have access to my contact information then contact ME. If you do not... Then I DO NOT WANT you to contact me, msg me through the site. If I respond, you got my attention, if I don't, well there is a reason for it. ONLY those game admins that I know personally have my contact information. Those that attempt will never get the files from me.

Yeh, this is bad taste and etiquette. Harassing even Visad is bad taste since all the files he released *have* been downloaded. I'm in the process of uping everything to my own mirrors as others most likly are as well. If you don't have the files he shared - WAIT. Don't start tracking down his staff - chances are they won't have anything anyways.

The fact is that no matter what the scene, what the files - chasing down people after the fact never works and does nothing more then screw up the share in the long run. I myself find this very irritating and the facts are - Visad has *shared* all of his stuff - not just some, but all. If you didn't get it while it was up - too bad?

Your only choice is to wait for them to get re-uploaded or make a bloody post in the forums (aka, my request for configs.rar) - I know many had grabbed it and frankly I'm stunned nobody has uploaded it yet... If I can't get it, I'm not going to archive and mirror 3-4gb of files for a buncha leeches. If thats my attitude - imagine where Visad is coming from, he's got GM's and Forum Mod's asking him wtf half speaking English guys (or translated gibberish from google) from ragezone are pestering them for files and inside stuff..

Shame on people.

i don't think that the 100% of pw dev are like that, maybe 99% :P
some guys from Russia (don't remember their names) and me worked really hard to make the auth daemon works with mysql (yes, the one that EVERYONE is using now) and we only asked for credits and nothing else. We never tried to make money from it or "exchange" it for another stuff (like frostwalk city, etc).

something that really piss me off is that kind of user that knows NOTHING about linux, a game server or whatever related to and keep asking and whinning because they want all done and they think that setting up a game server is a "1 2 3 clicks" stuff.

because of Leachers ppl like me looking for decent help and Guidance cant get it at all!

just to keep in mind i am not a Leacher i just wanna know certain things most of the time!

like i have a few bugs to fix i need visads 1.4.1 release!

it has been removed by visad for reasons he mentioned in his post!

i respect that!

but out of 100+ ppl who downloaded no one is taking the pains to reupload them!

so all is proven ur intrest is in files given by him rather than how he helped this community!

shame on such ppl!

even if i make my server i never say i made i say i own it! after all its the Devs who put in their sweat and hard work to make it!

if your serious about pw developing, you can easily make friends and get ahold of these files ages ago....

and yes these forums do have a tendency to not release much and just download it.

That's why there should actually be a WORKING PW community where only trusted dev's can view it. So if there's new developers they'd have to get approved first so there would be a weeded out community.

This has been tried several times, it usually ends up with a few Devs doing all of the work and the rest still leeching from those few.

It would be nice to have some sort of place to post and dev "in peace". Maybe when someone does not contribute with the comunity, he/she must be banned.

iv seen in chineese forums they have a nice like money system

each thanks on a release = 1 money for the person who released.
to download the release costs maybe 2-3 money.

there are several ways to implement some "anti-leech" system.
that coin system sounds good, but on the other hand it looks easy to cheat on it :p

Yeah, the coin system was neat, but as long as you posted you could get enough coins to get just about everything.

Lol I think you are right... That's part of why I stopped hosting, this site used up so much bandwidth it cost me an extra hundred :p You should hit me up on Yahoo, bash has my info. I have switched over to Aion EMU and am having so much more fun now!

I have been looking into a new development for fun other than PW my huge interest is getting my hands on Eternia games version of Last Chaos, Man Id have so much fun deving that thing up.

PW is great but getting little old I am currently writing a tasks editor which allows u to edit/add/del the full file atm just needs a little tweek and should be rdy.

I have one of the best PW Servers I need new challenge I have spoken with Eternia they aint replied but ive offered them $1000 just for their server files.
