So you're telling me, that even if I had a machine that had more ram than it even needed to use, it would STILL require a swap equal to or greater than.
This makes no logical sense to me. What I'm hearing is:
"yes, even though your machine has 16GB of physical ram, and even though your OS and 'applications' combined will only take up (lets say) 10GB (leaving 6GB 'too much') -- I STILL need at least (not like I'd say "at MOST") 16GB of swap"
To me that defies logic. If I have a machine that is configured to need 10GB of ram between OS and 'applications' and I 'run' it on a machine that has 32GB of physical ram, imho why would swap be technically *necessary* at all ???
