    Services don't run

I'm using a Ubuntu to host the files from this image, but i'm having this problem:

I think it can be JDK error cause I have liberated the permissions correctly for all relevant files and can run some services as can see in the image above.

Does anyone know how to proceed to properly install tomcat and java (jdk) to run correctly all services in Ubuntu (not VBox)?

    -------------------- PROBLEM SOLVED --------------------

I don't know why, but the hrace009 / ronny server files don't run with Ubuntu 64 bits.

To use this files running in a Ubuntu Linux dedicated server, use a 32bits OS running in a Intel processor. Don't worry about memory above 3gb cause the linux 32bits can run 3gb+ of memory without problems.

Try manually starting them from the console, sometimes the services don't like to play nice with each other (one of the annoying things about the server we have available)

Here is how you manually start all the services, as thats not how you do it for logservice, I can tell you that right now

    ./authd config.xml
    ./gacd gamesys.conf
    ./gs worldname
    ./gamedbd gamesys.conf
    ./gdeliveryd gamesys,conf
    ./glinkd gamesys.conf
    ./gfactiond gamesys.conf
    ./logservice logservice.conf

As you can see for everything except gs the parameter to start it is the config file, gs on differs because it need to know what world to start

I've fixed it. It's a OS error. Olny run in a 32bits OS.

It will run on 64 bit...

You only need to get the ia32 libraries (yes all linux systems are like this, they are not like windows 64 bit that includes 32 bit libraries right out of the box, reason being is that most of the time you dont need them and it saves space on the hdd and install media), which if you are using a debian based system you can install it with apt-get

Youll have to lookup exactly what you need though, services probably tell you when you try and manually start them though

    apt-get install ia32-libs

---------- Post added at 02:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:51 PM ----------

if anyone knows or could find out how to do an 'offline' install of ia32-libs please let me know, as it would come in handy for anyone who would like to create a release that already includes these, so if people are running a 64 bit OS wont have to manually get them ;)

ia32-libs installs most of them thats why I said you have to look it up as Im sure there are a bunch that aren't included in the bundle.

And about the offline install, just dl the .deb and run dpkg -i debianfile.deb

But make sure all the required packages are also in the same dir or dpkg will refuse to install it, unless you use -f which will still install it but doing that is useless because you dont have the required packages installed so it wouldnt work.
