Most info I got was they recieved info from an external source so it could be anyone, since Vendetta is number 1 I can assume its probably just competition, but yes I lost all my server files.

yes,i'm sure who report your server is other server.. they want make you down. they are only people who can not afford :thumbdown:

I bet it was the OP in that thread in the PWI forums... they did seem very "hurt" by you running it...

And actually 343... the Aion client (and only the client) can be acquired for free from NCSoft, if you download the NCSoft launcher from them, they don't have a direct link to the client on their site, but the launcher is easy to get.

Ahh, ok did not know this. I can still almost guarantee they have something in the fine print (just like PW) that makes use of 'their' client with any 'private server' or even 'server emulator' illegal (or that would constitute as a © infringement).

More then likely they don't care to much, since there aren't that many aion private servers I have seen anyway, the client download being about 7-10 gb doesn't help the private server community much either...

offical server has worked to shutdown swordsman many times before.

they basicaly shutdown the most popular servers... its a stupid way to do it really.

could have 2 servers on different accounts on a host, use 1 as a proxy and the other as the main game core.

long as its the same host it wont make any difference, u just do it by internal LAN forwarding port 29000.

Then they can only close ur proxy server.

also @ thepw.ru topic, there is actually a hack to give urself gm tag to pretend to be a GM and be able to access the gm control panel.

I know the hack he is talking about and no other people can't see it, that would also allow them to do what they did though...
