You get 14291 which activates 8785 which gives you the item 14290 but 8785 also needs 14290 so it disappears right away. Due to the fact that 14290 is in rare_item.conf it triggers the server message to show that...Quote:

How that particular one works is just like that, quest gives you 14290 which is a rare_item which triggers the message and then the quest 'requires' that item so it is removed from you immediately after you receive it
That is just how it works...
The actual rare_item.conf connection to ingame.stf is what I don't know, but what I do know is that tasks.data has nothing to do with it
