Building on the topic to not have to create another, has trouble saving the files from the database with an automatic crontab? Put the folder to be saved / pwserver / dbase every x hours. Have a risk of corrupting because the game is on?
I really am at a loss as to how people manage to make databases get corrupted... it truly is a mystery to me...
I want to put an automatic backup, my doubt is whether it can corrupt, you have to be careful with something.
file copy backup while the server is writing to these files (usually every 60 seconds) can lead to inconsistent data in the backup files
depending on the file releations and the way the pw-server handles inconsistent data, the bckup may become completely useless...
