    wink Where would I...

Yes, the armor is from DevastationPW. It's not staying, I used it for testing purposes only. (To see if my models.pck file differences.) So no worries, I'm not being a theif
    http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/8...777777777r.png

    Now..
See how the armor is orange and black? On my models.pck the armor is shiny silver, but on DevastationPW's it is orange and black.
Now..When I look up the armor(the light nirvana heavy top) in elements.data it shows:
    http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/660...999999999t.png

But when i go there it shows:
    http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/7...888888888n.png

    and inside the tex file:
    http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/7...5555555555.png

Also where can I find row 4 & 6 in the second pic? I seriously cannot find them.

    AGAIN!! NOT STEALING DEVASTATION'S CONTENT!!

    Re: Where would I...

I don't entirely remember but it has something to do with different locations for male and female graphics(models\players probably), it should all be in the ecm though

    Re: Where would I...

Row 4 is pointing to the *.ski file (the 3d model itself):
    \models.pck.files\models\players\装备\女 (female armors/clothes)
    \models.pck.files\models\players\装备\男 (male armors/clothes)

Row 5 is pointing to the model when the item is dropped on ground:
    \models.pck.files\models\matters\...

Row 6 is pointing to the icon of the item:
\surfaces.pck.files\surfaces\iconset\iconlist_ivtrf.dds (female all icons in one file)
\surfaces.pck.files\surfaces\iconset\iconlist_ivtrf.dds (male all icons in one file)

    Re: Where would I...

those armor skins were custom made by Blackfire aka cox for deva a year ago.
Im behind him if anybody uses them without his permission.

FakePW already tried to add them in, but we caught and threatened them.

anyway, the reflection difference is proberly due to the alpha layers on the armor, not anything in the elements.data. You want a completely black alpha layer for no reflection.
What version elementclient.exe do you use?

Yeah, sorry. As I said before, they are not staying. Lol.
Your the only private server I have to get references from(Examples on how to do things.)
I use the one from ronny's downgrade. So 1.3.6 I would believe, I'm still a little confused though about armor color editing.

Edit: I'm an idiot, was thinking of a different thread. (The one with reflections in armor)

One thing I learned from software development; When debugging ALWAYS assume you did it wrong until you have undeniable proof that it works 100%
Wait, wait..which .dds? if the armor corresponds to:
    Models\Matters\装备\重靴掉落\重靴掉落.ecm
    Then I go to...
    Models\Matters\装备\重靴掉落\
Then I see only the tex(Chinese letters) folder, is that the .dds? Or am I looking in the wrong location?

    Re: Where would I...

    I see your problem:

The "models\matters" path is for the model displayed when you drop the item on the ground. It is NOT the model displayed when you equipt the armor.

Armor models are stored in field 5 of armor in elements.data
    e.g. "17品轻甲护腕"
This folder path is then added to "models\players\装备\男" If the armor is on a male character (男 = male) OR "models\players\装备\女" if the armor is on a female character (女 = female).

You can see inside each folder for the armor there are 6 armor files, only 1 is displayed per character (one for each class in theory) but we dont really need to know which one loads anyway because they all load the same textures from the "texture" folder inside the armor folder.

So if i equipted the robe top on my male mage the model displayed would be inside:
    "models\players\装备\男\17品法袍上衣\"

Is that donated armor on your server? Cause it kinda looks like your water nirvana g17 set like I have on in my pictures.(on original post)

    Check attachments:
I see that its the same colors as your water g17 set, it just doesnt really look like it would be armor though, also does the faded texture make it shiny or somthing? Whats the point in the faded texture?

    Re: Where would I...

A lot of my weapons and armor dds files look the same and so far I'm not picking up on this black alpha layer thing. Does that make the semi transparent dds file editable for color or does it do something else?
    Thanks.

Thanks Romulan for those file posts, I was able to remove the ? in my inventory spaces and replace them with item icons.
