Which file contains the Gm Commands?

Hey guys, I realise there is already an extensive list of GM commands and event codes and i've been pottering about with it on my own computer but I was wondering if anyone knows which server file these are actually stored in?

It would be nice to go digging around a bit and see if theres anything new or that can be tweaked.

Basically, the client just send the actions taken in client to the server, and then the server does the dirty job =)

in other words.. possible, but REALLY unlikely. if you wish to pursue this it is in the configs.pck file. but you'll likely be wasting your time

    also, it's an XML file

Well, technically anything is possible. However, (since we do NOT have the SOURCE) you may as well consider it (just about impossible) highly improbable, because it would probably take you 20 years to figure out how to do it =\ I gar-on'-tee that it's not just client side (servers should NEVER 'trust ' a client )

I would guess it's somewhere in GS...

Thank you for the info guys at least it gives me somewhere to start looking and yu're probably right that we'll never be able to do much with it. However being an optomist and Irish (Too dumb to quit) i'll keep poking anyway just in case :)

well there are many things that have been done right in regard to server/client 'security' - just look at cooldown timers, that's server sided, there is no way you could 'cheat' your cooldown timers via client side only. That's just one example, how about APS, there's no way you could 'hack' the client into allowing you to utilize say 10.0 APS (or 100.0) -- because it's controlled server side... So, something tells me, yes, they were smart enough to make sure 'GM commands' were controlled server side...

but the server does trust a great many things to the client. just look at a bug list and you'll see. (movement is client-side and the server tends to mistake what the client says, but you CAN jump all over if you have the right offset to do it)

well, to an extent, hence the 'jump hack'... Although it may still work in our outdated version, they've came up with a fix for that. I have tried it in official - and on a technical level it works, but the server 'catches' it and places you back on the ground...

It took them long enough to do that though... When they finally did implement it they did it horribly (they obviously didn't account for server latency), damn rubber banding....

Yea, that's the damn problem :'(
There has to be a better way they can do it... To avoid the massive rubber banding issue :(

but like I said. PWE is not that smart. not to mention they can't even do any work what-so-ever. It really shows.

and on another note: can you pm me a link to the jump hack for the latest official?

There isn't one due to the server actually verifying all movements, hence the rubberbands.

Client: OK. I moved 4.87 meters north
    Server: Got it.
Client: Alright, I clicked this npc here
Server: OH SHITTTTTTT I meant you aren't supposed to be there
Server: YOU SHALL NOT PASS, move 4.87 meters south
    Client:
    Spoiler:

    Repeat ad infinitum

It's the same as the original... You can start to do it, but the server catches you (hence the rubber banding Das and I have been talking about)... If you don't know how it's done then you need to search seeing as it's an older than ancient technique...
