well the problem is tht the elementclient screen gets black and i have to wait a while until it logs.and idk why its happening
With the limited amount of info given I would have to guess a slow server response, another words not enough resources to properly run the server. But again with the limited info it could be hundreds of reasons.
Well Ram's i have but this is still happening: so i open element client then i log into my acc the element client gets dark {but i can still see whats happening in it} and i have to wait until my char shows then when i enter my char i have to wait a while to enter the character,
What version of Ubuntu are you using? (I assume you are Using Ubuntu for the server, as I see you using Wine to run the client. So it's a safe bet to say that you are actually using a Linux install on a physical machine to do this. (The 127.0.0 pwAdmin page reinforces this) That old Firefox version makes me think this might not be the reason though...) I did notice on a newer release (11.10) that pw didn't like being started by the tomcat user at all and acted incredibly slow to get going so I had to manually create another account for it to do all of that as. I'm going to assume that something was probably changed in the install script for tomcat that would cause that.

i tried something else. i tunrned down my server {everything} then ive tried to log on a friends server {with different cleint} but its the same thing the screen makes black then i have to wait
any idea about how to fix this please?
My wife has a dual core and the wait is longer (much) than my quad..sounds like your pc is just taking its time, how long is your wait time?Originally Posted by dolkeboy

I accepted (from my daughters pc) that time of 5 seconds as normal. My daughter has dual and is approximately this time...but she seriously has too many apps running .
