If it keeps deleting it then it must be your AV program. Sometimes even if you restore or clean the file it becomes corrupt and will not function. You will need to somehow add an exception to your av for the xml editor so that it does nothing to the file or disable your av completely but it will still get removed when you start your av again.

    Which AV do you use?
AVG has a bad habbit of removing files as soon as it finds them which is why I dont use it anymore.

That, or get rid of your anti-virus software entirely and install Malwarebytes (MBAM) it works wonders. I hate anti-virus software xD
EDIT: Here's a little more information: MBAM will get rid of your issues on your computer, run a quick or regular scan with it and it will find everything. I've stuck with it and it's found things wrong with my computer that I never knew were there otherwise. I do regular scans with it and don't have any other sorts of software AV or otherwise similar, and I disabled windows firewall and defendor. Also can run MBAM in safemode for an even more thorough search. it's also a free program.

    Re: Xml editor problem!!

I originally used AVG but I didnt like it much. I tried Avira and didnt like that. I tried some other AV but a lot had cloud technology which I didnt want.

I currently use COMODO Internet Security Free and it seems ok.
The only issue I have is that frequently pops up with messages which Im sure can be turned off. I have left these messages enabled as they tell you information about what applications are doing (eg notepad is trying to access explorer). Comodo apparently learns though so it only happens with new programs.
Comodo includes a bunch of stuff like firewall, AV, and a sandbox called defense+. This sandbox allows you to run suspicious applications in an isolated environment.

So far this software seems ok to me and I haven't uninstalled it yet. However there isnt too much need for any AV at all if you are carefull with what you do.
