am i doing something wrong?
(btw im using winscp to get unpacked files and client over too /opt/cpw/files/new should i not be? and how else would i do it?)
Re: .cup manual patch help
Maybe your OS don't like chinese filenames...
Re: .cup manual patch help
well i know winscp doesnt is there any other way to get files there?maybe make and ISO out of my client and mount it cp -R * / it into /opt/cpw/files/new or something?
Re: .cup manual patch help
Use filezilla, it's better than winscp for me. Maybe it will work. Or yeah you could make an iso and mount it.
Re: .cup manual patch help
Indeed, that's what the pw_client un-packed is for on my release. It's an ISO of a 7z (to preserve the Chinese file names)...
Or of course the best thing to do would be to manually (fully) un-pack your client then compress into a 7z - then make an ISO.
I personally never use WinSCP or any other networked file transfer system/method for transferring files between systems with different OS's... I tend to make ISO's or use physical media (USB drives, optical discs)...
I find that to be the most reliable.

i normally dont have any trouble with winscp works well when i wanna get into my ptemplate real quick to mess with rates or to check something since im a nub when it comes to linux idk all the commands yet lol but hey im learning and yea i noticed the 7z on linux so i compressed it on my desktop sent it to my /opt/cpw/files/new with winscp and used extracted it on linux so i got that working now
Edit: okay so the way i did it managed to not not only overwrite files thinking they had same file name (chinese letter turned to stars so it couldnt tell difference) but also change the chinese name completely on ones still there and corrupted my clientso now im making an ISO and doing it that way (talk about major fail)
