How To Change Pet/Mount/Flight Icons?
I was wondering how I can change the icons for mounts, pets and so on. I have done a search of the forums but I couldn't find anything useful on this. I already tried adding my new dds file to surfaces.pck and changed the dds location within elements.data but it comes up with a question mark with a black background.
I tried searching my surfaces.pck for existing dds files but none of the files are in the locations that elements, data say they are, I also did a search of my whole client to find the files and the only dds file I could find with the same name was the texture of the pet itself.
Or could it be that the dds files need to be in a certain quality and that is why it wont display? At the moment I am saving them as 8.8.8 RGB 24bpp. Anyone have any ideas?
My bad, ignore this post I just found it using a different search term. Sorry guys
Will the client be able to read the iconlist dds file if I was to increase it's size in height? because right now the file only have room for 76 icons and I need to add more then that.
Ok so I did a little test. I added my 32x32 image at the end of all the other images and then added the file to the end of the text file and called it silvermane.dds. For some reason though the icon is not showing, I changed the location in elements.data to Surfaces\图标\通用物品\silvermane.dds. I even counted the amount of images and lines within the text file to make sure everything was correct but it still appears as a question mark on both the egg and the mount.
Does the dds file name need to match that of the ecm file in order for it to work?

Re: How To Change Pet/Mount/Flight Icons?
There are two sets of icons. There is the one for the icon itself that you see in the inventory and one for the pet when its summoned. So you have 3 text files and 3 icon files to edit, the male and female iconlists and the petlist.
To add more lines to the image you need to change the numbers at the top of the text files. You also don't need to put the full path to the icon in elements. You can just put the name itself and it will find it.
