Of course i know That amagai is a filler but,i said it in a way that ichigo should take the empty place in the 3rd squad,the captain.

Ichigo's father left shinigami either because fell in love with his mother or because he couldn't protect her when The Grand Fisher attacked her.
But theres no other squad that mentions the captain leaving.
Besides wouldn't they have lived inside the Seireitei so I doubt The Grand Fisher would have been able to get far.
but I guess thats the only simple reason of why he would have left, but being in the 11th squad all they care about is Strength.
eh w/e Ill just have to wait chapters until they finally answer why he left the soul society, I hope they don't just leave us hanging though..
We don't know about what happened in 100 years before the main storyline, so.
