Gatewayserver DoS Fix?

How can we avoid the gatewayserver's crashing due because of the spam or flood. Is there any solution for fix this ?

Can we interfere Gateway server exploit with hardware firewall? We have got hardware firewall. If we can exclude the exploit, how can we do this on firewall? How do we filter out these packages?

Why don't you limit sessions from single ip?
