MAX characters

Hello!

I'm currently trying to increase the maximum characters on server. Maybe we can do it together. I've done the client side with ollyDbg but can't figure it our how it works on the server side. There must be something on serverside that checks the max char count on server but I can't find it.

Here for client side:

Open sro_client.exe in OllyDbg and search for

Address	Hex dump	Command
0085DE67	80BE 2C010000 04	CMP BYTE PTR DS:[ESI+12C],4

now you can change it to for exapmle 8 maximum chars:

Address	Hex dump	Command
0085DE67	80BE 2C010000 08	CMP BYTE PTR DS:[ESI+12C],8

Now you can click on create but when you confirm at char creation a error message will show up. There need smth. to be done at serverside.

What about the adress to edit?

EDIT:

I found out that the char creation is managed in the shardmanager at address 00429C80 untill address 0042A2D8

but the values that needs to be changed......

did it already, you need to change a stored procedure, edit sro_client asm, and shard.
procedure edit = easy
sro_client = easy
shard = hard as hell you need to trace back.

edit: the "adresses" that you posted are useless as it is handled differently on diff cpu's.
pretty sure you got the sro_client right, didnt had the power to check.
