    Silkroad Online - New Era - (Since 2010) re-creation

    Hi hi

    Well before we get to any real details. Let me specify the following.

    - Due to Joymax hunting for sro private servers. We will not give out any more information by personal request. Even though this is not a private server. Were not taking any chances.

    - Every picture , video or details regarding this project will be released when ever the members in the team wish. Asking for more videos or pictures or even details , wont be given out. Just wait it out for when we release them our self.

    - This is not an advertisement to any server. Its simply a discussion.

    Q1: Who are we?
    A1: A simple team of 6. Working together since 2010 to bring back something we dearly love :)

    Q2: What is this project ?
    A2: Silkroad Online - New Era - is the re-creation of mmorpg " Silkroad Online " from a Korean company "Joymax".

    Q3: Whats the description of this project ?

    Silkroad Online - New Era - is the re-creation of mmorpg " Silkroad Online " from a Korean company "Joymax".
    
     Silkroad Online - New Era - is not made from Joymax. Instead is made from a small team. Every person in the team has played Silkroad Online since open beta in Korean. So we know every perks and aspect of the game.
    
     The team behind this is called "Guardians Team". Consist of 3 programmers ,
     3 artists. The game is being built behind a powerful engine. The name of the game wont be announced yet.
    
     Silkroad Online - New Era - will first launch by bringing back the experience of " Level 60 CAP , Donwhang , Jangan and Hotan Regions , old school 60 cap job system , pvp uniques ".
    
     Graphics: Graphics will bring out the max of DirectX 10. Completely re-created regions to optimize the power of directx 10. 
    
     Re-created characters to allow " normal walking , running , jumping , and even swimming ".
    
     *** Since its still in early alpha development. Guardians Team will not be releasing any more info at this moment. Although no info may be released in "words" , in time Guardians Team will be releasing pictures , possibly even videos here in facebook.
    Q4: Are we part of "Silkroad 2 by W1nt" ?
    A4: No we are not. Unlike W1nt him self, we do not use engine "Unity 3D". As we can see W1nt project started not so long ago. If im not mistaken. Silkroad Online - New Era - project started in September of 2010.

    Q5: Why are we taking soo long in finishing up the project if we are just doing 60 cap ?
    A5: Good question. Problem is we are not going to take it fast either. We like to get every model that the game will hold to be perfectly 100% in game. That goes with enviroments , mobs , towns , etc. Apart from that , the multiplayer side is also 70% of the reason were taking very long. As its being coded in C++. In simple terms ,we make sure everything works 100% before moving on. Even if its a tree that's acting weird, we check it , and check it, and again , and again till it works 100%.

    Q6: How many things is already implanted in the game ?
    A6: Truthfully , we only got Jangan and its regions working. We started working on the donwhang regions about 5 months ago.

    Q7: Is every region going to be in the exact same place as Isro has it today ?
    A7: No it wont. We decided to switch some stuff around. Simple stuff though. For example remember you would find ghostbugs after you teleport from jangan ferry into donwhang region ? Well in this version , you'll find ghostbugs very close to donwhangs ferry but still in the jangan region. In this case indicating your near the donwhang region.

    Q8: What about quest ? and skills ? and items ?
    A8: Quest ? Yeah we got quest. Not the same one , but custom ones for each level. Skills ? Hmm let me see. Every skill from level 1-60 in Isro are in this version :) Same thing goes with Items.

    Q9: Will this be Chinese only or European only or both ?
    A9: Chinese only. Sorry guys , we really don't have any plans atm for working on the European race. As we said , were only doing for now, 60 cap. Therefor Chinese only.

    Q10: Will there be fortress war ? Job Hunt ? Pvp ? Capture the Flag? Battle Arena ?
    A10: Fortress War ? No sorry lol :( . Job Hunt ? Of course old school thief , hunter , trader. Remember that ? Help a trader while hunter half way take off hunter and turn thief ? Yeah that will be here :D . Pvp ? Yes of course whats silkroad without pvp ? :confused: . Capture the Flag ? Oh yes :) probably the only feature we will implent from todays latest isro.

    Q11: When will you guys release more details regarding the project?
    A11: In time. We will release more videos and pictures in time. We been quiet since 2010 , so were going to continue like that. BUT since were releasing the news as I type right now. We will release more info maybe weekly. Who knows. Just make sure you got our facebook page :)

    he said simple team of 6 persons work together (they understand each others)
    a simple team of Silkroad Developers (or generally Game Developer team) include such
    C/C++ Programmer
    Reverse Engineer
    Database Administrator (DBMS Engineer) , with MSSQL and Excel
    Graphic Designer (3D & Photoshop) & PK2 Editor
    Web Developer whatever PHP or others
    so basically if there's such a team yeah they can re-create or even create the entire engine
    as i heard : PrimeSRO team had such people so they had new job system
    @thread if there's a place for DBMS on your team i'd like to join cause i like your project

    Really nice project

    But.. That will be bad for the Pservers

    Coz many people who play silkroad have a low performance of their PC

    And i think that project will need

    Minimum 1 GB Graphic card

    Recommend 2 GB Graphic Card [ And will be laggy :S ]

    BTW Easily can do that [ If you are a C/C++ Coder ]

    by editing that [ d3d9.dll ]

    Any way ...With my best wishes

    Thanks , but as far as im concerned this is not a private server. Its a whole new game.

    That graphic edit kind will be better for the action games
