Let a server die due to legal issues, the community learn
Aside, bringing down a server is too much trouble, even fir Joymax
They wont do a shit aside starting to scare ppl with warning mails

search for 4D1 now BTW silkroad is getting hacked more than once and they are not doing anything about it

Activision did not sue AlterIW. They did use a law firm to contact AlterIW and issue them a cease and desist other, otherwise legal action would be taken.

Four Delta One is better anyway (imo), but if AlterIW didn't get shutdown we wouldn't have it.

I believe the private servers will not die at all, First off there are many of the server created. Even in some countries these rules and laws don't apply at all. Joymax won't be able to do anything, I believe that if you secure your server and don't carry any content of "Joymax, Silkroad - Online" or anything like that you will be ok. And again be sure to check wherever you're hosting your server be sure to find out what the laws our about copyright infringement, always good idea get a Dedicated server and for some country like Russia or Netherlands the laws there are very different.. Just a quick advise thats all..

Russia? Silkroad.ru? joymax has official ability to sue any Russian SRO P-sever owners. (LSRO, popular russian srv, hosten in Moscow got hardcore butthurt cuz of this) So Russia is out of this list. Search some small countries to prevent being pwned by joy max team.

First of all if you run a private server without using Copywrited Names or Pictures. then they can do absolutly nothing. just get rid of anything that says SilkRoad or Joymax and Joymax will Die off. court cases involving Private servers have already beaten the companies that made the servers

oh forgot to mention if you are selling services then you will get sued no matter what.
