I do apologize if I have some thing wrong, although not sure what it would be. I tried the editor several times, starting with exp at 50, 100, 200 then finally at 500. Each time saved it to the server. Fired up game, went in to the same location, same critters, but, the exp never changes. always 56. Yes, running version.84 and every things is running fine. GS size never changes, always chmod 777. Copied the old GS and named it original, to be sure and have backup, deleted the GS file, not backup, then copied the changed GS into the server. no problems. No errors in logs, nothing. Have not tried hex edit yet, going to do that now.

Do not know if it just not showing up in game correctly or not, but, with higher exp rates, should have leveled at least twice in the time I was testing it. Character is only level 14 when started, and still 14.
