my pc specs, i7 quad core, 12gig ram, using vbox, assigned 6gig to vm. used terminal in ubuntu 13.04, command u -l and made myself root, i installed everything that was in the guide. so i do have a basic knowledge and where to look.

I copied hosts to /etc folder and i also copied elements.data from /server/gamed/config to /server/gqueryd
i did precisely the same on vm and on a dedi with 8gig ram and still the same error, so obviously i must be doing something wrong.

do you have any logs? if not, get some that will help this go faster.

For the guys that still have problems.. i will upload later a working ubuntu vmware image.
And for the others that still are struggling and want to keep trying. Make sure that you extract it in linux and that you use the right lib files earlier posted by martinle.

I am getting "client version out of date" and im not sure exactly how to fix this. ive moved the files from the server to client and still same error.

Do i upload the elements to gqueryd? too

The only thing that I did wrong - was unpacking tar in windows - not in my ubuntu... but I still can't get what's the difference ? =)

I made this simple Guide to help u guys set up this server:
ubuntu's command:
apt-get install openssh-server
apt-get install openjdk-6-jre
apt-get install mysql-server
apt-get install apache2
apt-get install php5 php5-gd php5-mysql php5-pgsql php5-imap php-pear php-auth php5-ming
apt-get install php5-xmlrpc php5-xsl php5-curl php5-mcrypt libapache2-mod-php5 php5-mcrypt php5-mysql
upload this FWv307.tar.gz package to your VMware (http://forum.ragezone.com/f783/relea...-tools-943885/)
cd /
tar xzvf FWv307.tar.gz
chmod 0777 -R /server/
copy these libs to lib https://mega.co.nz/#!KQt0lCpQ!SKAKDl...R18mPhDI29Uv9s
use these command for 64 bit OS :
apt-get install ia32-libs
ln -s /lib/libstdc++.so.5 /lib32/libstdc++.so.5

edit mysql passwd in table.xml (etc\table.xml)
