Has anyone managed to get the files compiled? i am getting the resfx.h error.. and the gameserver also doesn't work.. i only managed to get the master server and the supervisor only.. and the eclipse studio. but the WarZ.exe doesn't work..

Just did some messing around for like 5 min and I compiled:
- RSBuild (I think this is a game engine?, Fix earlier in the thread.)
- Eternity (No idea what this is, just compile)
- CrashDmpFix (Just compile it)
Tools:
- LangPackFixer (Only needed to compile)
- WavesGenerator (Just add DirectX SDK libs/includes)
The only one I really couldn't fix in this short time was WarZ.sln but I think that should be pretty easy to fix to be honest if you really want to.
Worth mentioning is that I have never played the game or have any knowledge about it. Just wanted to see if it would compile.
RS Build? What programs did you use? Tested with

Just working on WarZ Game Server dependencies / resolutions now. 4/5 compiled.
I have all files compiled.. but still not able to start the game server XD...
Did you set up a database with the scripts provided? Maybe it fails to start because of that.
EDIT: I mean, maybe we should wait until someone with the proper knowledge, like DNC, understands its inner workings. I'm no expert, but no DB backup was provided, only scripts, maybe it needs some kind of ODBC setup a la MuOnline, and after taking a glimpse at the files I found are some hardcoded IP directions which probably will have to be changed before compiling, so my guess is that it will take some time until we have someone able to help with problems.

The gameserver requires start parameters, you can read the log in the r3dlog.txt. Ive managed to get past the first one I just used "1 2 31" it has to be a string.

that error is caused due to having unicode characters in a non-unicode file. either use another program like notepad++ and save it into unicode or remove the "comment block" at the top of those files which give the copyright. O.o yeah i said that, but would be nicer if you actually removed the single funky character.
that's where the characters are funkified. no biggie.
also when you run into the global declarations in one of the files.
i've also managed to compile studio and warz so the launcher and client compile now fine as well.
Just sayin so no one asks. I need more time.

Like I said in another thread I have not tested Express personally, but I don't doubt if it does not compile in it. But it definitely likes VS 2008 and definitely hates anything higher so don't attempt to upgrade above 2008 your older source will start to filter in additional crap you get to deal with.
