Ofc you wont see it you have to add it manually you should see it on the MSSQL login screen if you open MSSQL.

Edit: Make sure the Name is WarZ and the Server has the Connection Path.

@ugurkontel is this your first time installing MSSQL 2008 R2? because it always have YourPCNAME/Servername path since you don't have a path used your IP instead of the path. (Not the localhost IP [You can use it if you want to] your computer local IP test if your can login with Your IP on MSSQL if it works then use the IP as the Server path on the odb connector.)

Here what you need to do these step are like spoon feeding should not be that hard.
Step 1: MSSQL Server Connection = Your IP then login with wz_api_user and 123456 as the password. If you cannot login check your configuration on MSSQL


Step 2: If you succeed in login now head over to ODBC and input your IP on the Server, after that you are able to connect and wont get error anymore.

That a easy fix go back and on the server its not WarZ since WarZ is not a Full server path its basicly your PCNAME/WarZ on the server source.

Edit: on the server you can use the path or your IP address. @ztimer should let people know if they are install MSSQL for the first time because sometime it need the path to connect.

Thank you for pointing it out. I did make a little note to the tutorial in the ODBC section. I would however NOT encourage users to use IP as some might have it via DHCP and in some case it will expire and change. I strongly suggest using the computer name instead as it will most probably not change and you dont need to set the full path to DB. Computer name is enough as in next step you will select the default DB to be used.

Ether way i'm grateful that someone else is also looking after people here. I have tried to be here as often as i can but missed that one :)

Ah.. yes its true since I'm always using static ip i tend to forget about DHCP that was my mistake.

Edit: They do not have to use their computer local IP they can use localhost or 127.0.0.1 as long as it can connect it is good.

Building
1. Open WZ\src\RSBuild\RSBuild.sln
Select "Release" Wait until Updating IntelliSense is done and select from menu Build -> Build Solution
Wait until "Build succeeded" and close the program.

2. Open WZ\src\RSUpdate\RSUpdate.sln
Select "Release" Wait until Updating IntelliSense is done and select from menu Build -> Build Solution
Wait until "Build succeeded" and close the program.

3. Open WZ\src\server\WarZ_Server.sln
Select "Debug" Wait until Updating IntelliSense is done and select from menu Build -> Build Solution
Wait until "Build succeeded" and close the program.

4. Open WZ\src\eclipsestudio\WarZ.sln
Select "Final" Wait until Updating IntelliSense is done and select from menu Build -> Build Solution
Wait until "Build succeeded"
Select "Release" Wait until Updating IntelliSense is done and select from menu Build -> Build Solution
Wait until "Build succeeded" and close the program.

5. Open WZ\src\Scripts\WZBackend-ASP.NET\WZBackend-ASP.NET.sln
Select "Debug" Wait until Updating IntelliSense is done and select from menu Build -> Build Solution
Wait until "Build succeeded"
Select from menu Build -> Publish Web Site
Set target Location to your api folder. For example mine is C:\inetpub\wwwroot\api
Press OK to execute.
Wait until „Publish succeeded" and close the program.

Where do I download windows server 2008 r2 from? Also, I don't understand what to do with .iso? How do i extract it? If anyone can help me with setup please PM me ur skype

Edit: For other versions that failed, "Microsoft Visual C + + 2008 Express Edition"'ve installed.

@Darkiriah use a virual drive google Daemon tool lite to mount the .iso so Vbox or vmware or your local comp can read them to be able to install it.
@ugurkontel you see where it say Debug | Win32 click on Debug and click on release then wait for it to load then click build solution. (This is my third day of WarZ section and I havnt come across any problem and this tutorial is Very Detail unless you do not know about MSSQL or VB 2008 it can be pretty hard.)

Edit: I have Visual Basic Professional but I believe it the same installation just make sure you install VB 2008 then VB 2008 sp 1.

Off topic: If your a student you can get most developer software for free like VB 2012, Window server 2012/2008, SQL server 2012 and other just visit Dreamspark.

@NanayaQ, pff same problem... Click release, and waited, ready wrote. Build> Build Solution clicked, the same error!
Visual C + + 2008 Express Edition can be caused from?
