do you have the fps rigs? i havent tried this much myself, but i would imagine the rigging process being pretty obvious. regarding bones some of them seem pretty straight forward. @Sylvanas1234 probably knows how to do this.
would be really nice to learn as new gun models are always interesting.
If this is your only problem, try import a weapon skeleton with my importer I wrote for 3dsmax, this will give you an indication were to place them.
Really easy (If you want to use existing WarZ anims)
Just import a Infestation FPS weapon model, then import your custom one. Scale it down and match the position of the Infestation weapon you imported, then delete the Infestation weapon (Not bones), then add bones via SKIN, but don't add Bone_Attm_Clip (I think its called that), set weapon pivot to 0,0,0 , then you export.
Just remember to set model as MESH, add materials, and try to position it EXCACTLY where the other weapons trigger, clip, and irons meet or else it will look weird (Clip, trigger and irons might look off center if not perfect.)
i guess i really have to make a new turtorials? i just hope that these won't be taken down by sergey because someone is to stupid and report it
That would be sick. I wasn't around at the time yours was up, but I heard about sirgays raid. Auehaue
It's actually not that hard to get started, start by watching/reading general 3ds Max rigging tutorials. All of the things still apply to war Z. The only thing that is different is how the skeleton looks.
what @GigaToni says its true, people without basic knowledge still gonna have problems aplicating anything.
I mean my old videos had been taken down like 4 months ago.. and since that i still am not seeing people getting custom guns or gear themselves.... soo yea for me this is just showing lack of knowledge people has and lack of self improving
I have gotten some help getting the proper software now so I'll see what I can do myself. Even if it takes a few hours im sure it wont be a problem. Only tricky part is doing it for the first time ;)
still,
still.... it took me a week to get a first gun working ;s... then another 1 month to get gear working.... then 4 more months to get animated parts like bolts etc.... + 1 more week to get full body armor...
and most of the people on ragezone just demands to be "teached" but most of people won't even implement their own time into learning... dunno maybe when i gonna make that movie ( if i will ) i will just make it private and send to certain people?
ir should i leave it public for whole ragezone
I feel you, but that's up to you. I get that you might not want to share it with everyone, but some of us are actually doing this to learn. I've seen plenty of people here "help me set up server wars plspls". Personally I am not going to setup anything. I have started mapping for an emulator and I want to try new things just for personal experience. If you end up making the vid and making it private it's not something you will or should get hate for. People should at least try to deserve it. Not fun getting it all handed to you on a silver plate. What do you learn from that? Nothing.
I honestly am also trying to make some changes over months and it's kind of really hard, especially who not from the area MODELER != DISIGNER || PROGRAMER != CODER[FLASH].
Understand that you may have learned everything by yourself, that for this work no one values you, it will always be that way. Unfortunately!
"I want everything free and without work" is the motto of almost and great majority!
I've already told you about the concept of BACKUP!
Aha. I don't get what you mean with your != ´|| Stuff. But to be honest, if you have time and patience, it's not really hard. It's just time consuming. The hard part is getting animations to look natural and not choppy. Everything else is basically like english. Once you know how to operate your program (blender, 3dsmax etc.) and you know basic stuff about vertexes, faces and how 3d models work, it's easy. (Except for natural looking animations)
Not true.. The majority of people yes. But there still a handful of people how acknowledge the work of people.
And? Wouldn't help much. The videos would be down in a matter of days.
Logical programming operators! Info HERE
You're a smart person, I think! You do not need to label people.
The crap of the YouTube EULA for those who claim to have rights and money! But Sylvanas knows what I'm talking about!

First of all your using of logical symbols is not right.
Modeler != Designer?
Modeler CAN BE a Designer but Designer DOES NOT have to be a Modeler.... soo already a mistake
and i know what you are talking about ?
Dude you spammed with me with pm that were hardly to understand.
I did not agree or even replied to any of your "backup" ideas pm since i take that as useless joke and thing
Do not jump out of the box like that since you don't even know what other people want
You could upload those videos to like google drive or vimeo , people can view it there and chances are its not going to get taken down, just name it apropierly and dont use tags. And if you want you could just send it by PM to people who take the time to write you PM about it or something your choice.
Probably someone jealous of you or a SirGay fan boy? who knows...
Most people don't even deserve a tutorial, because most will simply not even try it because they find it easier to leak someones work and use their stuff instead of making their own, it's just sad really. You'd think all the people that can't rig would use your tutorial to make a better emulator and improve their self accomplishment on this engine, but no. Only a small number of people bothered.
And to all the people that even bothered with his tutorial, you are the small percent that at least tried something new on this awful engine.
