So then first, when it's as you say "been a while" and your not as such good in handle it, why rent a server? To get serious trouble if it's get hacked?
Connection -> SQL Server -> ??? -> Profit!
im not trying to host a big server just one for me and my friends also when i go to connection and sql server and put my WOAdmin pass and user in it doesnt let me connect to the DB
also what do you mean by why rent a server? To get in serious trouble if it get hacked
Nvm - sorry! Thought you're running a Dedicated machine. My failure - but just saying. :)
So, you're done all step's like import ALL databases right of the latest source? M$ SQL installed in Mixed Authentication mode?
What's about login over Windows Auth.? Works?
W/O Background infos its just Poke at the Dark ppl...
yes logging in with windows Auth works and i just now enabled the mixed mode authentication. and all of my db's are imported in my microsoft sql from the latest source
ok so heres whats happening i am connecting to my sql server with windows authentication but none of my dbs are showing up and when i try to connect with WOAdmin its still saying error connecting for WOAdmin. Ok so i was able to connect with my sa account with the pass but still not database's are showing
Then you forgot 1 essential step. Watch the Video from DNC's Thread right @ the latest Source, and check about the MYSQL User Rights. (That should it be)
So, there are Tables at SQL Server Managment Studio?
yes i have the tabels in my sql server managment studio
i also went through and set the rights at db owner and sysadmin as he stated in his video
yes except my breezenet and warz are checked and they have dbo typed at the end and db_owner is checked in the bottom box
Here we are. I did exact the same. That i'll importet the stuff prob. wrong.
Drop both Databases (warz, breezenet) (reconnect)
Database -> Rightclick -> new -> warz
Database -> Rightclick -> new -> breezenet
Make sure MASTER is selected before hit Execute (see picture, this way works 4 me)
Then go ahead and repeat the Database right's step of the Video. (Make sure select all boxes :) )
well i tryed your method and deleted my other db's and users and i ended up corrupting my sql so now i gotta restart but still gonna use your method
Wut? No just wait 10 seconds.
Edit:
Start Managment Studio -> Right click at your MSSQLSERVER Instance (Left Side TOP) -> Stop ->
Goto -> C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA
and ONLY Delete;
-> Right click at your MSSQLSERVER Instance (Left Side TOP) -> Start -> should work for importing. (I know some steps maybe or not the same as the video says, but i wasted serveral hours to fix it for myself, and time of other PPL. :( )Code:breezenet.mdf breezenet_log.ldf warz.mdf warz_log.ldf

well shit man i scraped the project and im starting from the beggining on my desktop because i was using my laptop as the machine for the server and my laptop is pretty shitty
Ill be back on tomorrow right now i gotta get my desktop all setup for sql and so on but thanks for your help man
Use ur Laptop as Database Server is not a bad idea, but yes try doing it from Scratch first at ur better Machine. :)
how would i use my laptop as a database machine. lol Hosting a warz server is like 50x harder that hosting a wow server which is what i used to host that where i got my navicat skills from.![]()
