problems with the iis webserver

hi hope you can help me ive set up my sql server and followed the turtual and created my api web server through iis but its not working i tried the test sql someone put up and got this error:

but everything seems to reporting fine ive tried the account in navcat that logs into the server fine, so i dont know whats going on i have even done a fresh install on my server and tried again same thing.

i was at the same situation bro. i just didnt use iis i did hamachi instead. just look up aLca's post on how to setup a hamachi and it should help

ok i will look into it thx just hope it all works and i havnt screwed up somewhere following the tutorials

ok i tried that same problem the website cummincates as if its up but the game and launcher wont and i get the sql error again hers my connection strings in the web config:

maybe im missing someing so simple everything else is easy to setup but this web server is alluding me iis and abyss, hopethly someone can help i hope i dont have to do a clean install again but i will refresh the compiling.

hmmm thats weird try setting it like this

ok thx i will try that i recompiled the site and the server to no avail i will let you know how it goes its really bothering the how out me that i can not see the problem

thx dude that worked had to add /frozenwastes after localhost, the games logs in i can create a character but when i try and join a game it goes to load and says can not connect to server i think its ip problem the server does reconise me trying to log in tho, but at least the web server now works on iis would you believe.
thx again for the help now might have to reconpile the game itself with the ips i think.

it was the an ip problem now trying to remember what to do so i can connect to my game when my mates can.

i would give out the launcher and that but i still having issues with the launcher connecting to the server.

yeah the game works locally when i put the local ips in but when i put the external ip in i can connect to to the game but can can not get to the game world its really bizarre I'm waiting for my m8 to get home to see if he can connect and play if he can i got to find a way to get into game if not going to have have to use tunngle or himachi but my mate has problems with those

alright i would recommend hamachi. if you are going to use hamachi use aLca's guide its the best so far

ok thx i will try that i dont really want to shut down the lls server now its working but i will give it a shot i will let you know if it works

ok cool still using the iis server got the game working externally my mate can connect i can connect just the launcheer left to sort now and for some reasons no items are spawning but only explored the milty base for now but zombies are there. thx a lot for your help, ianyone can help with the launcher problem it would be great.

solved the no iteams spawning and semi solved the launcher it reaches the log in bit now but when you log in it attempts to download it comes up with an error:

hopethly someone can help that will great i would have a fully functional server.
