well from what i read, marianne had a geass as well however she broke the terms of the contract, meaning that C.C. had to kill her or something, if her geass power was to say transfer her soul into another body then she could've escaped into another person. this is also probably the reason that anya took so many pictures because shes under a geass effect she cant remember anything
