It all depends on the company that liscences the anime, they get the voice actors, majority of the time they suck so bad. But there is some good dubs, ill even watch some dubs over japanese voice acting, but most of the time its the other way round, if u have seen naruto on jetix or whatever channel in america and compare it to the original version you will notice it is so crap and lifeless.
i cant wait ill be able to watch it , no school the next morning ftw :D:D:D:D::D
Tbh, some voice acting on Naruto isn't THAT bad if you watch enough episodes to get used to it. Part of the problem lies in your own mind where your going "NOOO!!! <insert character's name> should sound more laid-back and less condescending." or "Why oh why does this guy have the most annoying voice 3v4r!?"
I'll probably end up watching it, since i do enjoy watching stuff on adult swim (though even Inuyashas voice sounds annoying to me, and i've never even heard the original japanese) it might not be too hard for me, since i havent really watched a lot of bleach episodes (maybe 10? the first 3, then like ~76~83ish) Plus, the character's voices usually get a little more "refined" as the show goes on, since the actors get more practice and begin to understand their characters better.
man i hope the new voices grow on me... i honestly kind of like waiting for a certain day of the week to watch a tv show, other than relying on myself to sit down and turn the show on my comp, it'll be more like "BLEACH IS ON! *turns on TV*" i hope i will be that excited even after watching the first couple episodes and even 3 months after it's debut. It's a pretty interesting show imo, and i see why ppl sometimes think "naruto" when they first see it, though I don't believe you can compare the two directly

thx for link..if thats allowed, but ya I didnt mind the eng bleach, Ive got them all jap/eng subbed so Im used to those voices, the eng fit are ok and worth watching, just another show to watch in english every friday for me.

lol i like how the voice of karin, one of ichigo's sisters, is the sam voice of haruko in FLCL :p. i guess its not dat bad da dubbed bleach. if u guys like it, feel free to watch it in adult swim until forever for it to get to da best part :p
