question about naruto fillers

Well in the manga you missed out something:
Kakashi Gaiden in between the fight and Shippuden...
For some reason it was never shown in the Anime which is quite retarded since it potentially has huge consequences...

Also the "Race" episodes before the whole Naruto & co setting off to "save" Sasuke are fillers aswell.
