Ye, we all know it, rap is getting worse as we speak. It used to be all good but then people started coming in with money sex and drugs and they ruined rap. However do you think that we still have a couple good rappers left?I think Lupe Fiasco and Kanye West are the pretty much only rappers left that dont talk about sex drugs or money if it doesnt have a message. I mean an example is Lupe Fiascos "Superstar"I mean the lyrics amaze me.However people like soulja boy and jim jones are ruining rap due to their gay songs.Like wtf is up with Crank dat? I mean the lyrics arent even well thought out, and a 3 year old could do the soulja boy dance.Views on this plox =D

Rap is getting worse cause every black guy in the 'hood' thinks talking about sex/dollars and bling bling is what live is all about. They get a contract, make some millions and get shot 6 months later.

No seriously, it's way to violent these days and nor do there lyrics make much sense. It's either that, or just way to commercial.


Real good rap is something that doesn't really exist anymore, cause like Genryu said.. most are either dead or just went underground.

Acctually your wrong. Kanye West Released a song with eminem called Drunk and Hot Girls on the Graduation album which is talking about $&@#!^$ Drunk girls. As for lupe he raps about all clean stuff. T.I is a great rapper he is old school if you listen to his music and understand where it is coming from. Not all rappers are so called "corrupt" but 75% of them are so i agree and disagree with what you are saying.

Agree with pretty much everything said here. I love Kanye, but Drunk and Hot girls is one of the most horrible songs i've hear din a while. Goes to show that he should stick with the good stuff. Lupe is pretty awesome too. As for other good ones we'd have to go back to the olden days of Public Enemy, Wu Tang or to the, unfortunately, unknown artists.

The difference was already stated in the first post... Kanye west and Lupe fiasco are excellent rappers. Also still going are Wu Tang, T.I, Jay Z. Bad rappers would come when you look at Soulja Boy and Jim Jones.. Like he said just becuase you hear one bad "rapper" dont judge them all till you hear them.

I dig Wu-Tang cause they are quite old skool, but there's more to it. Jay-Z is alright also but those guys are not like the mainstream rappers from today (and that's a good thing). But like Initiate said, finding good rappers these days is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Kanye West is a great rapper. Listen to his album Graduation. One of the best.

As for cop killer he was good, but everything that he has released in the past 5 years has been horrible.

Thanks for the smart responeses and not coming in with rap sucks. Ye Everybody has their one or 2 bad songs but infumous, you think "new" kids have "ill" beats ? their all one hit wonders. I mean come on I only heard about crank dat from lioke soulja boy, and after we fly high i dont know nothing from jim jones.One hit wonders dude, no more good rappers are coming into the scene for now.
