I'm wondering what you prefer, the recorded music, the music that was made in a studio for hours trying to get it right, or live.
Personally i prefer live, just sounds better (unless the band sucks ofcourse)

Live always sounds better. Unless of course, as JSSnahoG pointed out, the band sucks. Live shows determine what band is really made of because if they can't play a kick ass show, I'm not gonna listen to them.

It just simply depends on what band your talking about.
For example: Ive seen Motorhead live a couple of times. And i must say, live is much better; especailly Ace Of Spades. Or a Brutal Death Metal band like All Shall Perish is increadible live.
But then there are bands that are simply not as good live. Like Trivium. They are an awsome band, their even good live. But their albums are much better then their concerts. (Although i cant resist the mosh pits)
So it all depends on the band.
Both, poll is really about the sound, not the expierence, otherwise you can't compare it at all.
I prefer recorded. When its recorded, the sound is perfect. Theres no yelling and screaming in the bg, theres no echoes, etc.
When its recorded, its clear, perfect, etc.
I dont listen to music to study the band u idiots :P I listen to music in order to e-n-j-o-y it. If i wanted to test a bands skill i would listen to live music.
live because you dont have to work out more than two guitars to tab a song (Def Leppard's Hysteria studio recording had nine guitars!).
One of the best live shows I've been to was last night at the Coldplay concert.
Recorded in studio is the best..live just sounds like crap

if a band is so bad that they have to go to a studio to get help playing their own songs and when their playing live you have to go halfway through a song to recognize it, then theres a problem.
i dont listen to music just to enjoy it, i listen to it to see how good the band actually is, what the guitars are doing, and what the vocalist is doing.

Recorded sounds so gay when the singer goes like AHHHH and you still hear it when he sings another thing.

im missing that "i love live music " gene. Ppl finally gave up on me lol and stopped asking me to go to concerts. Ive been to a lot and been asked to a lot. My ex works for the second largest lighting company in the world. Did lights for so many bands, big bands..and most of the time i got backstage passes..but STILL just wasnt my scene! lol! Friends would be like "wtf is WRONG with u!" hahahhaha. All that yelling..and sweaty lights..and groping..and stinky black out curtain ..and geez list could go on. Just gmme a NON life mp3 and lemme chill out. XD
