[TV] The Walking Dead [Spoilers!]

So far for me Season 4 has been boring; and lacks any real action for me. Still it's getting pretty clear that the Prison is about to get fucked over.
The following sub-spoiler has comic spoilers :D

I can't wait until they abandon the Prison, setup camp in a forest, and then find that neighborhood!

Boring? Man, you guys really do not appreciate good television and it is such a shame. Last night's episode was not boring. This is a television program, not a 2 hour movie. It's not always going to be fast-paced, gory action. Last night's episode was one of the best episodes of The Walking Dead to date. Last night's episode made an entire audience feel sympathetic for a sociopathic multi-murderer. Last night's episode was beautifully shot, written, and acted. Kudos to whoever was in charge of this episode.

so, the mid season finale (sadface) - apparently there are going to be lots of deaths, both sides! what do you think?

It will be a pretty gruesome episode if they follow the comics. However, the TV edition has changed some of the story lines. They could do this with the mid-season finale?

I hate it too and I agree it's BS. I was so looking forward to what happens next. Weren't they on break awhile ago? I remember they took a few months break before this too. It was loonngg~ And.. I guess I like to be sure of myself. I'd hate to make that mistake and mess up someone else's entertainment. >_<

First off let me say....THANK GOD THE GOV IS DEAD!

I mean don't get me wrong...he was one of the best additions to the show...but his time was up.

Herchel....Father, Doctor, Farmer, most of all Friend....you will be missed.

Have to say I'm a little surprised more main characters were not killed...I expected to lose at least 2 or 3...I knew it was time to lose some main characters to freshen things up later with new people.

All in all...excellent episode...lots of action...little twists with losing the little girl then her Mother killing The Gov...but loved it.

I think Carol is going to track all the survivors down to take them to that place.

Without it we would have a longer wait till october for the next season.

That eliminates the flexibility they have to create future episodes. Sure, film a few episodes/weeks ahead, but if people are reacting differently/views are dropping then they can throw a cheeky plot twist in there aswell.

Well if their views drop or people don't like what's happening, then it's practical for them to react to this in an up and coming episode as opposed to them filming the entire series off the belt and coming back to re-film it.

By them reacting to this, I meant throwing in a plot twist or a change in writing for viewers to get riled up and talking about to attract the required attention to kickstart the show again.

I know The Walking Dead is based on a comic book series, but there are small details here and there that can be changed. Although I'm applying this to The Walking Dead specifically, it's a tactic that can be employed by any TV show producer.

amc are - they ordered Season 4 after the first episode of season 3 :P well I would have ordered too many seasons after season 1 but hey. Thats why I am not one of those people :L
