HOLY fucking fuck Merle, just when I started to like that SOB! He was going to be a good asset for the team, although he did eliminate a good part of the army. It's good that Rick chose not to be a dictator anymore, he doesn't deserve it, he isn't worth shit anymore to me, I hope the writers plan something good to make him look worthy of a protagonist cause he's really starting to piss me off

Spoiler:
They didn't exactly destroy the whole cast. WOW - Andrea & Milton are dead, and the Army of Woodbury (the ones Mr Governor shot) Not exactly the whole cast. I actually enjoyed the episode, and I thought it was worth the wait too. Carl seems like he's turning into a little Governor, like they said on Talking Dead. I agree with them. Now! I must go into hibernation until October when Walking Dead Returns! Farewell. Oh wait? Game of Thrones has started, I can't go into hibernation yet!

Re: [TV] The Walking Dead Season 3
Spoiler:
With all accounts I felt that the episode didn't really do much for the purpose it was meant to do. There was no cliffhanger, not much zombie action - It really let it down on those parts, but the emotional heart ache it built on. Andrea's final scenes - I felt were truly emotional and they probably wanted this. I know some people are going to hate me because of this but, I wanted Andrea alive - to get to the prison, I don't understand where people's hate for Andrea comes from, its not like she is a bitch like Laurie (Rick's wife - how ever you spell her name). She was a good character, wish she didn't die.
I felt the action wasn't really there in the episode. I don't think this should have been finale, there should have been one more concluding episode where you find out what happened to the governor, I am quite sure he isn't dead - If they are going to drag this on for another season then that is it for me. I wont majorly enjoy TWD.
Over all I would rate this episode 6/10
Over all I would rate this Series 7/10
It was good but not as good as it should have been, the season 2 finale was so much better, with information pouring out and the cliffhanger. Well what are you thoughts?

Spoiler:
I really started to tear up when I saw that Michonne was crying. To see someone so tough cry after losing their best friend is hard to see. I was mad that Andrea die and that the whole "Raid" was so shortlived. No one died; and that just lasted for like 10 minutes with a good minute of a shoot-out. Worst season finale ever.

Re: [TV] The Walking Dead Season 3
Well, that was disappointing. I gotta say :
Spoiler:
It was emotional alright, but what the hell did it lead to? The governor's still there, so is woodbury. Daryl doesn't seem to be shocked by his only family being dead few days ago, no feel of revenge? That was the worst war ever, no way they'd actually retreat this way (assuming the governor not approving of it) and the counter attack was useless too.
I gotta say, this WAS actually the worst finale I've ever seen in my life

Re: [TV] The Walking Dead Season 3
Spoiler:
I wouldn't say the ending was bad at all. It was not what we were expecting, now was it? It wasn't generic, it wasn't the same shit we usually see in the finale of shows. Norman Reedus while on the talking dead actually made a very good point that I can agree with. He said something along the lines of how he loves how the writers are going about this. He meant in the fact the ending was more "Sombre" than the usual ending we get. And this isn't a bad thing. Sure, there wasn't a whole lot of action, but I think it is all very interesting how things turned out. I think we can expect a good 4th season.

Yesterday:
Just watched the whole of series 1 of the Walking Dead, I am just amazed how much it has changed, so many people have died as well! Wow! - Development of characters as well, I also made a start on Series 2, it seems slow, but it is faster than I remember it!
Today:
Just finished the series 2 of the Walking Dead, the finale is by far the best of all 3 series - even though the series was pretty boring, it focused on who the characters are - not the zombies, while Series 1 mainly focused on zombies. I guess Series 3 focused on the 'others' in the world. I can't wait to see what Series 4 focuses on, maybe they go back to Zombies - or maybe a merge of them all! It is really interesting!

Don't think this sort of Zombie show will last 10 years, it may but I highly doubt it, depending on the first 5 series (currently working up to 4) will truly tell us, if they repeat story lines/plots. I think that if all the main cast die, it will lose quite a few members of fans. They should try and keep Carl alive - yes I know he is a brat, but he is like the only proper child there. They need to tell the story of a child within the disaster.
Maybe they actually find some revolutionary cure, or something like that - Maybe that would how the show would end, but 10 years. It would need to have a good sense of time to actually stretch it out that much. Actor's age, TV doesn't....

Recently Norman Reedus has revealed a shocking twist to the zombie survival series.

They've certainly followed the instinct of the comics.

I am kind of glad their stay at the Prison is coming to an end as it seems they got to comfortable there and hell they need a new place, maybe we will see new characters emerge.

The new threat is most likely the more intelligent zombies; they are gathering around one place to force down the fence. They are being more strategical.

I vote for a new thread for season 4. Close this one and re-open one for the new season. It'd be easier to keep track of the discussions and that way people can visit old threads without getting spoiled for the new season.
On the topic, I stopped watching halfway through season 3 because of the break but recently just finished the whole thing. I forgot how much I liked this show, partly due to being so caught up in BrBa... R.I.P. goodnight sweet prince.
Spoiler:
But yes, can't wait for tomorrow for season 4. I was kind of upset that that motherfucking governor didn't die... he's been around way too long. He better go in the first or at most the second episode or I won't be a happy camper.

Re: [TV] The Walking Dead Season 4
I agree, except that people may still wish to discuss season 3. Everything I could see relating to Season 4 has moved to this new thread.
---EDIT---
Nope. Lunerica says they are prepared to clean the thread up them self, so I've re-merged. I draughted up a poll to put to members, but as I laid out the pros and cons of each option I realised that the only people who have any real vested interest are Lunerica and I.
The topic needs to change. This thread isn't about any series and contains spoilers, which isn't apparent till you open it, though it is the first line of the OP. (that's naughty ) It's also super long but... It's Lunericas' thread, and if they like it that way, then so be it. :p

I really feel by your comment that you haven't watched any of the other shows.
Just in case no one has seen the end of the first season I'll put it in spoiler tags:
Spoiler:
It was revealed that when ANYONE dies they turn into a zombie. EVERYONE is infected. Milton? hello? He wasn't bitten either. (and some others too, but that was pretty recent).
So your whole theory is blown based on that. Something was up with the pig that got sick and died - was it causing the people to get sick and die? perhaps, but there are other things going on as well.

I don't understand Rick's thing with guns now....did I forget something from last season?
Spoiler:
I think Rick is getting over his emotional problems. You know he was doing some crazy shit, seeing crazy shit, and then at the end of last season he stepped down as the leader - this all ties in with his thing with the guns, he just didn't want to kill the zombies anymore, he didn't want the responsibility of being in charge, and he's also concerned about his son. Carl shot that living person without reason, Carl seemed pretty pissed when the group from woodbury came back to the prison, and I think Rick wants Carl to be more of a kid.
So at the end of episode two, they both pick up their guns again, we'll see if Carl can be more balanced, and Rick can return, because Rick was a good leader.
I came here to find out one thing, and it isn't being discussed! WTH?
Spoiler:
Who do you think was feeding the rats to the zombies at the fence?
Why would they do such a thing, since they were obviously on the inside - and it would jeopardize their safety as well. (as it created a pile up of zombies that almost took the fence down).
Do you think that person is the same person who burned the other two people?
If not, who do you think did that?

Yes I have seen the end of the first season when the crazy CDC guy tells him that everyone is infected and I believe when someone dies the infection is no longer being held back by the immune system. In case I wrote my theory to what I have in my head incorrectly "I believe an infection being carried by the pigs, not related to the zombie virus is killing people, and when they die the everyone is infected theory by the CDC guy turns them! The latest episode was very interesting, I had a feeling that Carol killed and burned the 2 people. What I really wanna talk about though is the ending where Daryl, Tyreese, Michonne and Bob are left in what seems in the middle of a forest with thousands of walkers around them. Probability of them dying and turning was almost 100% - so, in all honesty, she hasn't done anything which is majorly wrong. She tried to stop the virus from spreading, but she failed.

Loved the episode, glad to see the team back on the road and not just sitting in the prison, but also, that horde! Maybe it will follow them back to the prison? looked hundreds strong. by Ty and that hammer doe, ruled that gathering; knew he wasn't going to die, but it was awesome suspense - was he going to get bit? Don't want Sascha or Glen to die - but I have a feeling Glen does die this season, you see Maggie in the trailer (for the season) emotional, and ready to shoot, maybe it's glen? or beth, maybe hershal.
Carl is also becoming much better - getting more from his character, last three seasons he will a little shit.

I think Carol is covering for one of the girls. Carol was teaching them how to kill, and they were unsuccessful in killing their father. But they got more depressed so it's something they'd be capable of doing. Plus Rick looks at the hand print, and you can clearly see that it was either from someone being dragged, or someone very short. Maybe Carol did it with them.

Re: [TV] The Walking Dead [Spoilers!]
Spoiler:
At the end of the most recent episode, Rick asks Carol if she did it and she says yes, then it ends. But I'm almost positive she's covering for the girls.

Spoiler:
Great episode - I'm still wondering why those herds of zombies were so massive. I'm sure that radio signal has something to do with it. Could be an automatic distress signal? Like the mysterious radio signal in the first series of Lost.
I never knew George A Romero turned down directing a few episodes of The Walking Dead. o.O

Just me or was tonight's episode the most boring Walking Dead they have ever seen? I nearly fell asleep in the middle.....

I actually agree, it didn't have any action, but I guess it is needed.
Spoiler:
For a show to reintroduce the character they really should do a episode like this, to know what he went through to get to where he is now.

Re: [TV] The Walking Dead [Spoilers!]
Spoiler:
I personally believe the episode had a mix of action, gore, and story. We might see a new side of The Governor since he now has Megan to look after. Remember the mid-season break is only a few weeks away sadly!
