why should it be 'special'?

Anime is about the imagination, feeling, hidden life lessons and heart about the real world in fantasy, those who enjoy it are either people who like assault, speed/fighting, those that like a good story or love-lines, or those that like it tied to games. If your mature about anime and you like it you can really benefit from them.. ;)

(Mostly meaning Jap. Anime, UN-Voice-translated but with eng subtitles.. Becuase its better and has more feeling to it when its spoken in JAP.)

I must admit I get more exited watching action animes then watching anime movies sometimes especialy in a rescent fate stay nigth episode where emya starts using his powers and almost killed his freind who is a bad guy I was laki he kicks ass. And now he is even cooler he making a bunch of stuff :p

Dragon Ball Z (I remember the days of waking up early in the morning before going to school to watch this.) A great cartoon that was.. Only thing I hated was it took about 3-4 episodes to Power up then another 2 episodes to hit the enemy.

I love drawings with good style, anime is animated drawing with a bunch of effects, it's just really inspiring tbh

Yeah... this covers a lot of it. Anime has no limit except imagination. Besides, it's cool seeing cool people with cool weapons doing cool things that are virtually impossible due to physics.
