Re: Closed Beta-Testing for Renewed Web
Considering I made the thread but am yet to state what I think this will mean:
here we go
-------------
If this overall design is going to be like the current credits page, I'm going to be disappointed. Although that design is okay (and will most likely be what this new CMS is based off), I just don't like it for a website.
If they can really closely link the client to the website that would be awesome. They also need to move away from flash as maritnmine mentioned.
I want to see Habbo do something FRESH, innovative, sleek and appealing. Considering the current state of Habbo, that's not going to happen. I don't want to see a newish looking design with elements of the client still using the "Volter"-themed UI.
Get rid of it all, and start over.

Yeah, look at Illumina. I can find bits of the client using the old blue styling. And the navigator, that has so many redesigns it still looks shit.
Whatever they are up to, I highly doubt it will be as big as the original beta (but that was in the client, and this is the 'web system').

If I'm correct there are 4 styles within the client at the moment.
1. Volter
2. Ubuntu (before Illumina which has made a come back recently)
3. Illumina
4. Their new RoomUI and all those other new styles
All those have to go, and they need to start over.
Although I liked Illumina, it just looks so bad since they've started using the Ubuntu styling again. I wouldn't complain if they used that one style and fixed all the damn bugs that constantly appear in the client.

Yeah, i get you. One style with no bugs, and everyones happy. But for now it just looks all over the place. And now they are deciding to work on the website. Why? Oh, and homes are obsolete, it still has the Trax Player widget.

That's what I meant by that new Room UI.
Apparently "HITCH" was cancelled.

Yes it looks ugly as shit and now you have to scroll down pretty far to find the rooms with less people in it. I like it how they want to use more images and make it all look more fancy but it comes at the cost of user friendly.

The header is so big. Or is it some drop down thingy?
I kind of like the layout actually. It isn't that bad as I'd expected however I think its still an unorganised mess.
Re: Closed Beta-Testing for Renewed Web
Is that really it? The frontpage may be somehow nice, but the homepage looks so ugly... I hope they do some redesigning before December arrives... I kinda like the idea of simplicity they're heading into tho... but yeah, definitely not what I was expecting...

Re: Closed Beta-Testing for Renewed Web
I like where they are going.
Remember guys, this is a very early beta and a lot of changes may still come!

As me and Martin have discussed before. I'm surprised they haven't invested in the Mobile Market. Texting apps are so popular, a smaller scale yet usable version of Habbo on a phone will keep teens on it 24/7. Or a new similar game that scales properly (graphics wise) on a handheld smartphone wouldn't kill them. They really should invest in more than just ircgallera and other random services and websites.
