Habbo has released a few "teases" about a new client over the past few months. They tag it with the hashtag #Habbo2020.
After Habbo's article announcing they are working on a new client, 2 more posts appeared on their social media:

This 'tease' is a nothingburger.

However, I hope they listen to the community because you can clearly see the comments are demanding old features which I personally loved.

I don't think they get the 2005/6 Habbo back. Stuff like casino's are banned, because of the mobile platform (and country law's).

I find the casino ban too strange. For mobile, there are lots of Poker apps, where you can even buy In App credits to play it.

Regarding to countries' laws, they should ban it per country basis, not the whole game.

In Brazil, casino is illegal but casino apps are legal (afaik, but I believe so because there are lots of these apps in both App Store and Play Store). In Portugal, casinos are legal.

So why habbo.com.br doesn't allow casinos? Because of the age?

Maybe +18 rooms then?

I myself hope 2006-2007 comes back.
Since that's when I started playing Habbo and that's why I continued to play until 2010, then I quit cuz game got poop.

Anyway, they're doing what they should. Orange didn't buy Sulake to close it.
