Pixel Art - Do you feel as if you connected to Habbo through it's art?

This is a great documentary which puts the sheer beauty and modest power of pixel art into perspective.

For me, Habbo's pixelated art was something that definately defined why I loved Habbo so much. It's pixel art helped me fill in the missing lines and use my imagination to imagine what it avatars would look like. Since my imagination would be at use, I wouldn't have the time to really feel as if I wasn't connected to the game due to how un-realistic it may seem.

For me, I feel un-connected to games such as IMVU, Sims, etc because they try to make it seem realistic.. but since they do that it's too easy to notice all the flaws.

Are you a fan of Habbo because it's pixel art?
If so, why?
