Can Sulake DMCA a forum?

Hello,

I am not even sure if this belongs in this section but I just thought if Sulake has the abilities to DMCA possibly anything that uses their content like repositories and download pages do they have the ability to 'shutdown' a forum section for example this Habbo section here on RageZone?

I was just curious and wondered what the answer was or what other people think as well.

They have the legal right to DMCA anything which is legally owned by them which you may be distributing via forums.

They have the right to ask you to remove download links referring to:

• Flash client files owned by Sulake
• Copyrighted images owned by Sulake

They do not have the right to:

• Shutdown your forums, unless said by a court order
• Remove a section from your forums

A DMCA can be ignored, but you may face further action by either them or your host.
