    Habbo Retros

So I used to run a Habbo Retro before in Norway which was pretty succesful, but after a while I just quit because it became boring.

I'm looking to return to the Habbo Retro scene now, and I was wondering; what would be the best way to setup a Habbo Retro now?

Should I buy a VPS and set it up that way? I would require tutorials though, since the last time I tuckled with a Habbo Retro was around 2011-2012.

It is the same way you built it in 2011-2012.

I don't remember much of it

I remember I used to use PhoenixPHP back then, is it still being developed/used?

What CMS should I use and what emulator? I've seen that there are many new that have been released, I am not looking for a RP emu, just a normal one.

Maybe I'll go with RevCMS, not entirely sure though.

The Phoenix Project was abandoned because legal questions.
About CMS and Emulator, i think RevCMS is yet the best choice, and about emulator, emulator is the biggest problem because stability is not the main priority in this section. But The General is making a new emulator in java, you can follow this thread looking in the Habbo Development section.

Oh yeh, I remember, Sojobo got in legal trouble and had to close down. I've gotten the Silverwave Emulator, will see how it turns out!

The best setup you can have as a starter is use the Azure Emulator (constatly updated, you should always look for the latest version). I'm not very into CMS'es right now, but I heard that a CMS compatible with Azure is Xdr CMS.

    No hard thing at all.

Have a good luck with your hotel.

Azure is a mess at the moment, has a few exploits and I wouldn't recommend it for a Live Hotel. Even though it is constantly updated, at the moment.

That's why I told about azure and the constant updates. For a live hotel I agree would be too much, at least for now, but as a start, and it's often being updating I think it's ok. They need to do some live benchmark and post result
