Just loving all the people going round saying that Michael (skeet) made up his own fake C&D. Got a bunch of users on my hotel claiming that you admitted to making the fake C&D and that if one hotel gets one, every hotel and owner gets one at the same time. Total nubs.

It's because everyone is in denial of the fact that retros are coming to a screeching halt. You'll need some pretty fucking great developers to revive this community (not just RaGEZONE's Habbo Section, the entire Retro Dev Community). "They're only going after big hotels." It doesn't matter, they can send anyone running a hotel a C&D whenever they like. C is very unlikely.
There is a huge difference between a DMCA takedown and a C&D. Michael got a C&D - not a DMCA.
If we utilized the Tor network to host our servers. Sulake would be in big trouble, for the simple fact that "taking down" the website is (at the moment) impossible. The only issue would be ugly domain names and users having to use a client to connect to the network, other than that, you're truly browsing/hosting the web with anonymity.
I never really used to believe that Habbo retro's got took down just because i saw other use it as an excuse and believing it was really had because they never had valid prove and it just prove that it was just fake though.
I'm talking about most Dutch hotels pretending who did not even reached 50 online and provided fake mail as "Prove".
It's sad that they took his hotel down and i actually among many other complaints about Sulake taking their hotel down but not having valid prove.
Let's face it Sulake finally took action however I'm not behind their actions and what they do but they did took action which means that they are going to concentrate on Habbo Private Servers more.

One thing that would be amazing: If all the good Habbo Developers got together and started creating a NEW flash game. That would be cool. Cause so many people here are amazing with Java, C#, SWF(ing?lol) and stuff like that. Cause then Sulake would NEVER be able to do anything against us.
Topic: It's a shame to see this Plus close, most amazing hotel ever :/
We should make our own flash game and make them start on with a good amount of coins where people are able to buy things from and make them pay a fair price to get more as well giving the chance to earn.
We will eventually end up big and probably be the next virtual game after Habbo that's going out to be a big success.

Also, this may be a stupid question, suppose that the only thing of habbo that you're using is the clothes and furni, can't you edit it a little bit like change the colour of one pixel and it's not habbo's copyright anymore? Been thinking about this lately.
You are wrong it's a good question from my opinion.
No it's not gonna be like Habbo it should me different like CokeDEV that was pretty nice and it should be something like that but then different and no it should not be like Habbo too much it should have a little part of it but it won't affect the copyrights as everything should be made on our own rather than using Habbo's clothes and changing them.

Editing the SWF files is a lot easier than actually making your own game with ActionScript. I doubt there are many people in this section who would even know where to start with something like that.
Actually i wouldn't edit Habbo's swf but make your own like you said with actionscript or whatever but i won't do that but i would also need a login page and it needs to connect to game all too difficult for me so I'll start learning and what not.
Don't know what to do and what language to code to get this all done.

It seems everyone has the idea to "start a new flash game", but nobody is doing anything about it. I've brainstormed ideas like this with other developers like even Jonty in the past, and nothing has come of it. It's too much work and not worth it in the end. At the end of the day, it's not going to be Habbo, which is what people want. Also, you can't just make a game that's exactly like Habbo, but different graphics. It's taking their idea, which is pretty much under copyright as well.
I was going to say that as well. As brilliant as a lot of the current "developers" make themselves out to be, most of them are not as experienced as they say they are. They can edit things, but they can't make things from scratch.

I wouldn't make a flash based game where people are able to make their own room because that's just lame to be honest i would just let them build their own house with their own stuff where they are able to design their self-made rooms with: (Bedroom, Bathroom For example)
It would have a way different perspective and it would be fun for people to actually be able to go to the streets and go to others room that would be fun for people (especially younger aged people) as they mostly play such games. (Literally walk over the street)
As well real life clothes that makes things look way realistic than Habbo as well the dances are needing to be way realistic to make it even more fun.
I'm not able to make such thing actually but this is something i get out of my mind and i won't bother trying as i don't have the needed knowledge,

I don't know either Sim is able to be played online but I've changed my mind anyway it's pretty stupid to come up with something like that so forget what I've said i have some more thinking to do before I'm going to post them,
