What feature in a CMS would make you instantly start using that CMS?

I've felt I've reached the point long ago where I knew everything about the best practises in programming etc, so now I want to do something for the community. Something more abstract than 'Recreate Habbo Homes'. I'm ATM developing a working update-script with a 'server' (you can switch the server ip) so you can install different 'builds' of content, kind of like how custom roms on android work. Looking for some suggestions you would like to see, and it might just see the light of /f353/.

I think the real-time can't be done in pure HTML/PHP-CGI/MySQL, you'd probably need to use an application with running sockets for that.
If you're talking about a refresh every 500ms for the chatbox that seems possible, but that will probably DDoS your webhost if you have a lot of users with a chat open.

Why move stuff from the client to the CMS? That is just stupid to do.

    Keep it simple : front-end : login/register/news/client and that's all, don't need more

Not every mobile supports flash, so now you can chat with eachother without being online.

(Web) Sockets are indeed a good idea, i'm not familair with PHP. But ASP comes with SignalR (Web sockets) which makes it plain easy to do create stuff like this.
