OT: Possibly consider not even making a server, but instead download Odin based code and attempt to fix up some of the many bugs to further your Java/JS experience. Even if you only browse around the source with no intentions of fixing anything, attempting to understand the actual functions (or exploits) can be fun to say the least. Start with easy shit and work your way up, assuming you're new to java, be sure to actually teach yourself proper coding etiquette and conventions. If you decide to, the knowledge you gain will be useful in all sorts of other situations.. Not just maple, that's my two cents. (Yes, I understand that some bugs are nearly impossible to even notice unless the server is in a live environment. I personally just multi-client 5-6 characters by myself).
