[360] Halo 3 or Gears of War? [360]

Personally I would get Halo 3 (by quite a long way), but then again I've already got Gears of War =p.

As a couple of other people have pointed out it very much depends on what you want from a game, but if you judge the game simply on multiplayer then you almost have to get Halo 3.

Halo 2's multiplayer is just amazing, and I'm confident that Halo 3 will be even better, and I'm sure it will blow Gears of War out of the water (although I think Gears of War is okay, it's not in the same league as Halo 2 - in my opinion - and hence it won't be anywhere near as good as Halo 3).

If you've ever played any Halo games (surely everyone with an xbox should have at least one halo game) and enjoyed them then I'd get Halo 3, if you're not in that situation then you have to think how important multiplayer is, and if you think it's one of the main reasons you buy games then without a doubt I'd get Halo 3.

But Halo 2 and 1 Were ownage.

or If you want just wait till someone gets halo and has Gear of wars and ask them?
Or go into a shop and Ask one of the employee's What one is rated better or ask him his opinion

GoW does not have the history with gaming that Halo 1-3 does, even if 3 is out, its geting more hype than GoW did when it first came out, naturally.
I say Halo all the way, altho i have GoW and Halo 1-2 on my 360 >.>

I would go for Gears of War

Both are fairly overrated and over hyped. I mean they are great and all, but seriously its crazy how crazy people are about it. Personally i think i'd go for Halo3 just because it is the end of a trilogy and i know they worked incredibly hard on developing and refining it. Its a game thats sure to deliver. I know i can't wait for mine.

If you want to see just how hard Bungie have worked on Halo 3, go to bungie.net and the second "top story" (about the saved films feature) should have a ViDOC in it - if you're not sure whether to get Halo 3 or not I suggest you go and watch it.

Not only does it give you a good idea as to how good the graphics will be, it also shows some new weapons, and shows you some of the features. Personally my mouth literally fell open when I watched it, and I'm sure that the same will happen to you. Seriously, if you're considering getting (or even not getting) Halo 3 I would go and watch it.

I really do sound like some sort of Bungie Spokesman don't I? =p

True, which is why imo everyone should consider Call of Duty 4 as competition aswell, that game is just so freaking awesome.
