Incase this is not clear. GTA 3 was the first 3D GTA, before that there was GTA 1, GTA London and GTA 2, those were from the top. Then there was GTA 3, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas, GTA Liberty City Stories and GTA Vice City Stories. Anyway the engine used in GTA 3 was also used in VC and SA, it was modified and definetly improved (Vice City ran much better then GTA 3 did, GTA 3 ran on 640x480 on my old PC and it wasn't even smooth, while VC ran perfect on 1024x768 on the same PC), still bugs like the garage bugs kept existing.
There were some others aswell, for example you see a really car drive on the other side of the road, you turn around to catch up and steal it, and it's gone.

It's way to large for the PSP i'm guessing, i mean if it wasn't then they would have released San Andreas on it already. Guess we will just have to wait for a new version of the PSP. No clue when that will come out though.

Next PSP will be out this year. Though it's going to be smaller and with a built in phone.
I doubt you'll be seeing a next gen PSP any time soon simply because of the issue of battery life.
You can make small powerful devices but the batter technology lags behind.
Though I'm guessing the SA version for the PSP will be a downloadable game. Simply because you can get 4-8gb Memory Sticks compared to the small UMDs. That will allow them to have enough storage for such a large game.

This is going to be a good game but wont sell as much as people will think, the hype just isn't their compared to the other ones. Hopefully they wont mess up on this one.

I doubt that very much...
Vice City = 7th place for most sold games.
San Andreas = 10th place for most sold games.
GTA 3 = 11th place for most sold games.
Each one sold for over 10 million copies. I'm sure that GTA4 will sell at least 10 million copies also over the next few years. It's almost certain by the end of the year they will sell 4-5 million copies.

They really don't need hype/ The series has so many fans that hype the game up enough for each other. All they have to do to generate some hype is release a trailer or screenshots once in a blue moon. GTA is a huge name and its definitely going to sell well. Just look how sexy it is. It's been around for so long and done well, it can pretty much only continue. I still remember being a little boy and playing GTA2. I felt like such a bad kid :P

All I'm saying is don't get wet in the pants for a game that isn't out yet, and MAYBE will sell out for a day. It will never sell more then vice city, and inst worth pre ordering. Save the extra money for the pre ordering for Gears of war 2. All GTA 4 will be is a time waister till gears of war 2 comes out, then it will be forgotten.

Vice City sold about 8 million copies, San Andreas sold 12 million copies. Who's to say GTA IV won't beat Vice City?
And I'm going out today to pre-order my copy from GAME ^^
