[360/PS3] Xbox360 or PS3?

Microsoft is still a large share holder, they also got their name all up in Bungie's business, including Halo, basicly Halo will only come where Microsoft wants it to go (remember, it's partially their product, or perhaps even 100% their product as it was made by Microsoft). Basicly it all had to do with finances, now Bungie can determine how much they get paid, but they aren't a 3rd party game developer now, they're basicly what they sometimes call a 2nd party game developer, they pay their own bills and all, but they only work with certain businesses, in this case Microsoft.

i dont agree to that... they are there own business now and can work on any platform but they can stay exclusive to microsoft out of there own hearts... but even if they do they will lose out on a large amount of money in the Wii and PS3 and other platforms... which i dont really think they will miss out on that big amount of candy

for my choice i would go wiv a PS3 has everything for a home entertainment system and games console all in one... although xbox 360 does that also u still need to shell out for some more to get a hd dvd player... also ps3 is free online xbox is not... also the games on ps3 (out later) seem more fun to play (in my opinion).

Well there's your answer, I took a chance with the first xbox and loved it, Has Halo, Forza & PGR and now Gears on the 360, it depends what games you want to play.

I would love a PS3 and I'm sure I would enjoy it just as much but TBH I don't want to buy it just for the one game which I want to play which is Final Fantasy 13.

ima ps3 fanboy. i strongly dislike the 360. im not really that keen on halo and i find the controllers horrible to use. it needs money spening on it to get it into ''proper'' hd. (movies) and the 20gb hard drive probobly wont last all that long. for me the ps3 was the better choice. it was more expensive but it was hi-def straight out of the box, had a decent size hard drive thats hot swappable. As a games console the 360 is better but if you want a media centre go for the ps3.

as said above fable2 will be an awesome game for the 360 but gran turisimo 5 will be awesom

theres more ps3 fanboys =s, oh thanks GohanSSJ for that comment =) and well its a bitch that the backward compability was removed in the newly revised ps3s and that i will miss those rpg games in ps2 and the future FF titles graphics would be a blast in ps3.

I would say a Xbox 360 even thought i hate both (I am a Wii Fanboy ) ps3 is more of a media center then a console if your a gamer get 360.

From personal experience, both systems are equal. Both run great. Both have great benefits and flaws. It's all down to what you want it to do.

If you want HD movies. Both can do it. If you want online gaming. Both can do it. If you want great games both have it.

It's all down to what games you like. If you don't like the x360 offerings but the PS3s then go for the PS3. If you like the x360s more then go for that.

What the hard thing is if the games are on both systems. Then you need to look at the added features of the systems. The PS3 has free online play and a built in BluRay player. The x360 has a great downloadable library and the best online service (for a fee).

There is no clear winner of the two. It's all down to the games you want to play and the features you need.

I'd have to go with the 360, not for the reason i own one but since it has so much more going for it at the moment and in the future to come also.

I used to be a big fan of the ps2 but ever since the ps3, i simply just can't trust sony no longer. Everything sony entertainment has touched this year has just crashed and burned. (which lets be honest, is not going nowhere at the moment. A 40g PS3 without the PS2 emu built in huh? GTA5 will not be a complete version on the PS3, wa?) There MMO side hasen't been up to much either. Vanguard? Lol. They also took over the dev for pirates of the burning sea so this will be there final attempt to make me believe there is at least one person in the team with a fucking brain.

Well that's kinda the hard part, when you own a console you start looking into the games more, a game that doesn't interest you at first, will all the sudden interest you. Take a game like Kameo: Elements of Power, most people will write that title off right now, others will have the impression of not caring much, but 360 owners will be interested if they don't know it yet (or wrote it off before). Any gamer that loved games such as Banjo and Kazooie (on the N64) will love this game, as it's a great title, and a really fun game.

The PS3 has titles that are known, almost everyone is waiting for the new Final Fantasy, even though most don't realise that the team behind it has been severely weakened and that the creator and writer and all sorts of other stuff left and made 2 360 exclusives.

This is just how it works, when the first Forza came almost no one knew about it, those who did wrote it off as a cheap Gran Turismo copy, the second came with a lot more people knowing about it, and was seen as a true rival of the Playstation title, the third will be much bigger and will be known by every gamer, wether they have a Microsoft console or not.

So once you get interested, or once games are better known, then you will know the titles.

Did you see their contract? You don't actually think Microsoft would just let them go. You have to understand that Microsoft was the full owner of Bungie, the people who were in the Bungie team were Microsoft employees. Don't think that Microsoft made it that Bungie can just do whatever they damn well please, my guess is that in their contract it will exclude Sony consoles, and perhaps even the PSP aswell, as for Nintendo, perhaps Microsoft does allow games to be released on the NDS (which they have aswell), and perhaps even for the Wii, as it's not a direct rival. But trust me, Microsoft wouldn't have let them go if that ment they could just make games for their rival.
Btw, they don't lose money by not going multiplatform if they could, because Microsoft pays big bucks for exclusives.

It's viewed by many as the best controller ever made, it's also why many game developers fully support the controller in their PC games.

Why wouldn't it? I got 35 games, if i'd delete all my crap like demo's and all then i would have like 3/4th of my drive clean.

I disagree, yes it's true that the PS3 can do a lot more then a game console is required... but why the hell not? I don't care for having 20 devices to do 20 different things. Nintendo fanboys always complain about the PSP, because it's not a real a gaming handheld, because Sony put all that crap on it... yeah that's 1 way to look at it, i look at it that you get a gaming console/handheld with a lot of extra's.

microsoft had to have some input at making the 360 controller compatable with pc's.

if your like me you'll like downloading demos and stuff. having a 60gb hd lets you hold more demos and trailers. im not counting music and pictures because its easy enough to stream them form your pc.

i like using my ps3 for things other than games.its nice to lie in bed and browse music and the internet.

I would say PS3, but If I was you I would wait a bit, with time it will get cheaper, but since price is not an issue you should buy it if you want -_-.

About Xbox360, its good, but not that good.

I prefer PS3.

Ehm... all the controllers are compatible with the PC, it's just a matter of allowing it to plug in the PC and developing software for it. So Microsoft just decided on using USB and releasing some software. This is something that Sony could have done just as easily.

As for demo's i got all the room i need for them, so that's not a issue, and for the internet part... what do you need the PS3 for? Why not just use your PC, i got mine hooked up on my TV.

my pc and ps3 are abot 5 feet away from each other but sometimes its nice to use a different browser. dont know how big the 360 demos are but ps3 demos are about 800mb means you can get about 20 on the 360 hd which is quite alot but if you wanted other files like films and suck youd be a bit pushed for room.

The 360 demos are usually around 500mb but there are some that can run all the way to 1gig so there isn't much difference in the sizes.

Xbox360 is better i think because its cheaper and it got nice games like halo 3 and you can have Xbox Live :zoo_fox_1

It's a demo, you play it, and you delete it after, you either like it and get the game, or you don't like it and you don't get it.
