Re: [360/PS3] Xbox360 or PS3?
I'd say get a 360, the PS3 is a flawed machine, unfortunately. I did have high hopes for it, but now I think Sony have lost the plot. Majority of the games come out for both platforms now anyway, even FF is going to 360. PS3 games all have later release dates, and the games are on average 5-10

[QUOTE=omerta;2710957]sony just nocked off
Re: [360/PS3] Xbox360 or PS3?
my main problem with the 360 elite is that it doesnt have a HD bay. a black paintjob and a bigger hard-drive doesnt make it elite. most ps3's are probobly bought as a cheap blu ray player but i got mine for the upcoming list of games (gt5, gta5, ect)
Re: [360/PS3] Xbox360 or PS3?
Remember that the Elite does have a HDMI port, so do the new Premiums.
Btw you are getting GTA 5? That's cool, most of us are still waiting for GTA 4. ;)
Oh and why the fuck would you get a PS3 for GTA 4, seriously... GTA 4 is getting 30 hours of exclusive content on the 360, the PS3 is getting none.
Re: [360/PS3] Xbox360 or PS3?
gta 4 or 5 who cares, people get the idea
you have to say that the line-up for the ps3 has gotten ALOT better than when it first came out. what good is a hdmi port if you cant have hd-dvd's
Re: [360/PS3] Xbox360 or PS3?
id do what one guy said up their get a 360 then a ps3 its win win lol
I love my 360 but the PS3 is just sexy ... so im probably gonna get a ps3 >_> eventually
But 360 still seems better i can link it to my comp ... that owns linking with a psp i dont think the ps3 can link to the comp i dunno
Re: [360/PS3] Xbox360 or PS3?
It's a digital output, it's a straight pixel to pixel cable with no compression, which gets you a clearer image.
Btw, what use is a Blu-Ray drive if the discs costs more then going to the movies.

You can use your PS3 to play Media files from your comp, easily. Got is all set up wireless myself though converting to playable files is a bit of a hassle.
Re: [360/PS3] Xbox360 or PS3?
As is with the 360, it won't load DivX or anything like that, it's useful for music, but that's about it.
Re: [360/PS3] Xbox360 or PS3?
a normal dvd costs more than going to the movies.
Re: [360/PS3] Xbox360 or PS3?
I decided to go with the 360 btw.
I have a question though for those that know the answer to it. I've read around that there is something called "iXtreme". There is a new version making it possible to play burned games on the Xbox live, but if the games are not stealth patched you can't even play the game offline.
The older version of iXtreme (5.2) makes it possible to play what ever game you wish, but only offline. My question is: Is it possible to use the iXtreme 5.2 version to play burnt games and still be able to play bought original games online without having to worry?.

1. Who the hell buys brand new movies on DVD? 2. What's your point?

Keep thinking like that if you want to get banned from Xbox Live in the near future.
There has been no solid method yet to get the full expierence with copied games, it causes a lot of hassle, a pretty big risk to get banned (Microsoft will eventually ban the 360) and if you get problems with the 360 and you can't fix it, then you can still say bye bye to a lot of money.
Re: [360/PS3] Xbox360 or PS3?
you said blu ray disks are more expensive than going to the movies...so are normal dvd's. copies of games are not as practical anymore, with so many checks that the big companies do and the consequences of them (banned from xbl) arnt worth the risk.
