Ehm... all the controllers are compatible with the PC, it's just a matter of allowing it to plug in the PC and developing software for it. So Microsoft just decided on using USB and releasing some software. This is something that Sony could have done just as easily.
As for demo's i got all the room i need for them, so that's not a issue, and for the internet part... what do you need the PS3 for? Why not just use your PC, i got mine hooked up on my TV.
my pc and ps3 are abot 5 feet away from each other but sometimes its nice to use a different browser. dont know how big the 360 demos are but ps3 demos are about 800mb means you can get about 20 on the 360 hd which is quite alot but if you wanted other files like films and suck youd be a bit pushed for room.
The 360 demos are usually around 500mb but there are some that can run all the way to 1gig so there isn't much difference in the sizes.
Xbox360 is better i think because its cheaper and it got nice games like halo 3 and you can have Xbox Live :zoo_fox_1

Remember that the Elite does have a HDMI port, so do the new Premiums.

Oh and why the fuck would you get a PS3 for GTA 4, seriously... GTA 4 is getting 30 hours of exclusive content on the 360, the PS3 is getting none.

you have to say that the line-up for the ps3 has gotten ALOT better than when it first came out. what good is a hdmi port if you cant have hd-dvd's

It's a digital output, it's a straight pixel to pixel cable with no compression, which gets you a clearer image.
Btw, what use is a Blu-Ray drive if the discs costs more then going to the movies.
You can use your PS3 to play Media files from your comp, easily. Got is all set up wireless myself though converting to playable files is a bit of a hassle.
As is with the 360, it won't load DivX or anything like that, it's useful for music, but that's about it.
a normal dvd costs more than going to the movies.
I decided to go with the 360 btw.
I have a question though for those that know the answer to it. I've read around that there is something called "iXtreme". There is a new version making it possible to play burned games on the Xbox live, but if the games are not stealth patched you can't even play the game offline.
The older version of iXtreme (5.2) makes it possible to play what ever game you wish, but only offline. My question is: Is it possible to use the iXtreme 5.2 version to play burnt games and still be able to play bought original games online without having to worry?.

There has been no solid method yet to get the full expierence with copied games, it causes a lot of hassle, a pretty big risk to get banned (Microsoft will eventually ban the 360) and if you get problems with the 360 and you can't fix it, then you can still say bye bye to a lot of money.
you said blu ray disks are more expensive than going to the movies...so are normal dvd's. copies of games are not as practical anymore, with so many checks that the big companies do and the consequences of them (banned from xbl) arnt worth the risk.
Yea pirated games are totally not worthwhile anymore seeing as the consoles are hooked up to the net now and can even more easily detect and report pirated games. Anyway back on topic. I personally love the 360 much more than the PS3. While the PS3 has a few good games, most of them can be bought for the 360 too or just aren't good enough to convince me to buy it. Thats really all that should be looked at since thats the main function of the console. How well does it play games? both are every strong so it comes down to the games they have and what bonus "features" they have. The 360's marketplace, demos, friend interaction, arcade are all great things that i love and think make it better than the PS3.

You are assuming that when people got a PS3 they will buy Blu-Ray movies, and that when they got a 360 they buy DVD's... this is a completely false assumption... my point was that what use a Blu-Ray drive was if it costs as much as going to the movies, i could say the same about the DVD drive, except that the DVD drive didn't boost the price of the 360 as much, not to mention the fact that you can get DVD's extremely cheap and you can easily copy them, and if you want to keep it legal, then i can also make arguments for homevideo's on DVD.
The fact is that BR doesn't add any value for the majority of the people, by the time it is a standard (that is IF it's the next standard - not saying it won't, but the battle ain't even close to being finished) then you can get BR players very cheap, so for most people it adds no value, and they rather spend the money to go to the movies, then to watch the movie at home.
