Get a Ps3. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots, FF games will be for Ps3, heavenly chain, God of war 2, etc. Kickass games. Not to mention, Ps3 is operating at 1.8 Teraflops while the x360 is operating at 1.0.
Owned. :P

always hated mgs, final fantasy has officially died in my eyes. wth is a heavenly chain and god of war. at least my 360 doesn't lag out while playing games :P
i love fanboys :)
Don't know if you guys been reading my post in the outerworld but I finally did decide, I am gonna get an XBox. You guys have convinced me, I haven't bought it yet but I already bought something for it off newegg :P (Newegg.com - Microsoft Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit - Retail)
We'll see who owns who in Halo. HA
I think i probably won't be owning if i played at my current level of training, haven't played a console fps in a year now (no really) and it really does make a difference.
luckily my bro is getting, double agent, las vegas, CoD 3 & 2 & gears of war. so i should get a decent amount of fps'ing before halo 3
Get the Wii, the "Newest" with the 360 is the AI. I find that useless, as most new consols have that.So buy the Wii or PS3
Well the Full system package includes a wired headset, that will probably do for me. I will have to get a charger for the wireless controllers as im going to invest in an extra one. Can anyone recommend any good games for live? I've never really been into or played FPS games on consoles i've always been really shite but I think im gonna start giving them a go now! :D

PS: Can you hook computer Monitors up to the Xbox as a substitute of a TV?

Hmm, depending on the money I get after christmas I think keeping my 19" Flat screen monitor will be a hit! :D But i've been told that CoD 3 is good so I think thats one i've definatley got on my list. Thanks for the reply! :)

If you don't mind waiting. Try waiting until about Feb. That is the time when the rev2 of the systems comes out based off of the 65nm processes. That means it runs cooler (less fan noise) and will also cause a $100 price drop on each system. So the end price will be about 200 pounds for a premium or 150 for a core.
Then again it might be a little longer as that's when it's expected for the NA version of the console.
You calling someone a spammer? Lol, because this post of yours is just spam. =P
That's what's predicted. IBM has already made the ES of the 65nm CPU last month so production is stated for this month. Which means in 2 month time you'll have the units out. So a Feb (mid to late) release of rev2 is most likely possible and is stated for the US.
Given how MS does things you can't really tell if they will hold their word. IBM is reliable but who knows if MS is actually going to drop the price down then. But the looks of it is highly. They wanted to do it for Christmas but Sony couldn't make enough systems so they lucked out. By spring you'll see even more PS3's and then the price will surely drop to get people to pay attention to the x360 for the next 6 months until next fall when games should be to much for the PS3 to handle.
Cooling the system isn't over kill. It does get very hot but nothing to worry about. Nothing like how hot the PS3 gets.
But if you do go and water cool your x360 (there's a few kits floating around) you will have a dead silent system HTPC. =P
Umm... It'll just be a cheaper x360. Did you know that there was 5 revisions of the first PS, 4 revisions of the PS2, and 2 revisions of the XBox?
The first PS had problems reading disks all the time so they remade it with a new CD player. Then it was revised to support the Dual Shock controller. Then it was revised yet again with smaller chips which are cheaper to make. Then it was revised one more time as the PSOne.
PS2 was revised to fix some issues with the first release. Then it was revised again to support a built-in IR port for the remote instead of the controller adapter. And then finally it was revised into the PS2 Slim.
Xbox was revised to use smaller chips to make it cheaper and easier to produce.
And actually there was probally more minor revisions then thoes major ones. Who knows exactly. Just you can count on if the system drops in price it's been revised with cheaper to produce parts. Typically the same stuff but on a smaller processes.
Lol... The PS3 or x360 can't touch a teraflop of bandwidth. Just fuzzy math that Sony is using. I've posted a good article here that goes in depth on the power of both systems.
And you are forgetting. MGS4 will be on the x360 also. The Substance version will be on it with more features. ;)
Only the first itteration of FF XIII and FF XIII Versus is going to be released on the PS3 first. Only because it's contracted with Sony. And they will be ported to the x360 soon after. FF XXIV will be on the x360 and not the PS3 because they ran into issues while developing the engine that they used for FF XIII. The PS3's out dated GPU just can't handle what they want to do with game.
Lol... That last 2 lines are just class. Shame how the PS3 does lag in games. :icon6:
God of War was a hit PS2 title. Looks good but never tried it myself.
Heavenly Chain looks like a Dynasty Warriors rip off from the pics I've seen.
Lol I don't get out of bed until after 2pm EST. =P
And yes SquarEnix is bringing the FF series to the x360 as it's the only system that can handle what they want the game to do.
They've done that before in the past. Only reason why it was on the PS to begin with is because the PS was superior to the SNES where it was last on. Then it carried over to the PS2 because the GCN was taking to long to come out and in the end the disks didn't have the capacity to hold the game. (Who wants to have a 9 disk game?) And as you can see FFXI was on both the PS2 and XBox. Hell it is even on the x360. ;)
So you can see that they are not locked to Sony and will ditch them the first chance they get. Lol...
They aint worried about not enough people having the system they are moving to as they know they will drive the sales of that system no matter what. Look at how well the x360 has done just recently because of Square's BlueDragon game? ;)
Ranbow 6, CoD 3, and Gears of War are kick ass on the x360. Never really played CoD on the x360 as I have it for the PC and that's a kick ass game also.
That makes no sence at all. oO
Yeah you can hook PC monitors up to it. You just need to buy the VGA cable adapter. Costs about 20 quid.
Multiplayer is a blast with GRAW, CoD3, Gears of War, Halo2 (yes it's an xbox game), and Rainbow Six. I myself enjoyed CromeHounds a lot when I had xbox live with it.
NoPeace - out
Thanks NoPeace replys helpful as always, I think i'll definatley just stick with my Monitor for the time being, and I will consider waiting until Feb but if the new release arrives I can see MS dropping the price on the current model by some pissy amount tbh. Im not too worried about sound, just as long as it doesn't set me on fire. :D

PS: I found this deal at play.com, now all I see that I would need there would be a Xbox live membership, controller battery packs and a charger and then maybe any other games I desire.

would be extremely nice if xbox games can be played on 360
this might help out some for info on playing old xbox games on the 360 Xbox.com | System Use - Play Original Xbox Games with Xbox 360
