[360] Really worth it?

Thanks NoPeace replys helpful as always, I think i'll definatley just stick with my Monitor for the time being, and I will consider waiting until Feb but if the new release arrives I can see MS dropping the price on the current model by some pissy amount tbh. Im not too worried about sound, just as long as it doesn't set me on fire. :D

PS: I found this deal at play.com, now all I see that I would need there would be a Xbox live membership, controller battery packs and a charger and then maybe any other games I desire.

Over 200 xbox games work on the x360.

I know Lego Star Wars, Halo, Halo 2, DoA3, and PGR plays on it. And they actually look better because of the 4xAA that the x360 applies to the games.

if i remember rightly they have made games compatible depending on their xbox live (original) popularity. so its likely any game that you liked will work with 360.

Will the revised console be much better than the orignial in performance? or will it just be a lil bit cheaper, wont get so hot and wont be as noisy? cause if there is alot of diffrence i think i can hold back christmas till then :P

Yeah. No use spending all the money to pay programmers to make the emulator work with a game that only sold 100k copies. =P

So the spend the money on the big titles for the xbox. And then if there are unpopular games there that's due to the fact that it's running the same engine as the popular one.

And most games do work. Just the listed ones runs with out flaw. The other ones may have little bugs but nothing to major fo rthe most part.

Just cheaper and cooler. Noise wont matter much if you have the orginal x360 ventilated. Since most of the noise from it is the DVD drive.
