I've got a level 42 ranger but got tired of all the grinding. It's still a grind fest, even after all the "xp increases".

We have totally different ways of playing the game.

Can people outside EU play eu servers or is it exclusively EU. i live in the us so im not sure.

I believe they'd put an IP restriction masks.

I might play it if it really does go F2P, looks like a great game

Aion is a pretty epic MMORPG

If I'd play the european country it would still be the same as playing the private servers. It would be like the moment you attack a mob the character goes into a battle stunt then you try using skills and still at the same stunt and you'll realize in a few second the mob is dead.

Again, this game (like many others) is taking the approach of using the word "free" in order to get a hold of a few more thousands of users.

3 different packages - Starter, Veteran and Gold. (No payment, offered to former subscribers, 10$/month, respectivelly).

Lets take a look at the Starter package, the free one.

"Whisper Chat with players not on friendslist" - No.
Hum, alright, no sexy-exy activities without having them on my friends list, im ok with that.
"Open shop" "Sell Shop" - No.
Not quite sure I got this right but it seems I can't open a shop? Oh my. Will be hard to sell my stuff.

"Open world Chat" - No.

I can't whisper to people outside my friend list, I can't open shops, I can't access the world chat. Sounds like selling anything I want to will be a pain in the ass.

Now, instance timers. The first few have pretty much the same time as the other packages, but lets take a look at the rest.. 70 Hours cooldown. 22. 46. 118 hours.

I'll only use the 118 hours example for this. Both Starter and Veteran have a 118 hours cooldown to a few instances. Gold package has 13.


Conclusion: Yes, you may enjoy this game playing it for free, but you better start looking for another game before getting to end-game, unless you wish to pay. I don't know about you guys, but waiting 118 hours, which is 4 days, almost 5, for a cooldown to go down and for me to be able to access an instance with my friends is not exactly my idea of fun.

Like I said, the word "free" is being mis-used, again.

Just my two-cents, this game used to be my favorite one before it was released and it still remains at a good spot on my list.. But reality can be harsh.

Please, correct me if you think I'm wrong.

got bored on lvl 19, to much grid, and only few low lvl players online, got bored to do quest alone +pretty hard too.

but the graphics 10/10
