    Best of 360?

Because online reviews are very much different to the opinions of most people, what are a few games on 360 that i MUST have?

    Games i currently have:
    - Perfect Dark Zero
    - Grand Theft Auto 4
    - Dead or Alive 4
    - Dead Rising (kudos for being fun ^^)

Games i am thinking of getting:
    - Devil May Cry 4 (Demo was pretty good)
    - Burnout Paradise (LOVED all the previous Burnouts, and the Demo for this raped so hard)
    - Mass Effect (Heard good things)
    - Halo 3 (must i say why? :P)
    - Forza Motorsport 2 (Dunno bout this actually, the Demo sucked so much ass through a straw)
    - Blue Dragon (excellent artists worked on it, should be good)
    - Then Fable 2, Soulcalibur 4, and Ninja Gaiden 2 when they are released.

360 Games i already have on PC:
    - Assassins creed
    - Gears of war
    - COD4
    - fear
    - frontlines : fuel of war
    - stranglehold
    - kayne & lynch

I mainly love RPG's and i love racing games aslong as they are fun, not the boring stick-to-racing-track kinda games. If i get enough racing games mite get the wireless steering wheel for it. Not too much of a fan of FPS's on consoles, the aiming is just too hard and i dont have the time to perfect it. Also, is it true that copying games to the xbox HDD wont let you play them unless you get it modded and burn them to dvd?

    Re: Best of 360?

Never really played any of the DMC's so i can't honestly say how good it is, though i did like the demo, anyway can't give you any advice on that.

Burnout Paradise is liked by many, but also disliked by many, personally the game doesn't attract me that much, i prefer the older Burnouts. Not to say that this is a bad game, because it definitely isn't, but it's definitely different.
Mass Effect is amazing, should easily get you like 50 hours of playtime, looks great, plays great, it's just 1 of the best games ever made. I don't know if you ever played KotOR, but as you probably know it's from the same maker, and they did a even better job this time, ofcourse KotOR does have the advantage of being in the Star Wars universe, but the universe made in Mass Effect is really amazing, and there should be 2 more games to develop it even more.
Halo 3 is a great game, but i'm personally not that much of a Halo fan, i got the game for free (a site messed up when they offered 12 months gold + halo 3 instead of the halo 3 themed 12+1 month xbox live pack) but otherwise i'm not even sure if i had bought it. It's good if you like the Halo games, and it's still a solid title, and ofcourse pretty much everyone has it, so if you want to play with others then that won't be a problem.
Forza 2 is much like the demo, so if you don't like it then you shouldn't get it.
Blue Dragon should be quite decent, i actually have the game for over 6 months but haven't touched it yet... (bought it real cheap but just haven't had the time to really invest in it), still if you are gonna go for a RPG then i would advice you to get Mass Effect first.

If you want to play copied games then it needs to be modded yes.

Anyway i would advice to try out Test Drive Unlimited, it's cheap these days, and imo it's 1 of the best race games, it looks fantastic, has lots and lots of cars and bikes from known brands, and the game is between realistic and arcade, you don't have to concentrate really hard to win a race in most cases, but you can't go full speed through the corner as you will fly out, and you will loose a lot of time, so you have to drive well, but again it's not like you will loose the race if you mess up once. Oh and it's a huge open island (Oahu if i'm not mistaken), takes about a hour to drive all around it in 1 of the fastest vehicles.

Condemned 2 is pretty good, I know some people with a 360 and they liked it a lot. MassEffect has a few flaws but nevertheless, that game rocks. GuitarHero is a must-have in my opinion, however if you never liked such kind of games, you shouldn't touch GH I enjoyed playing ProjectSylpheed but it was way too short. I have not played LostOdyssey or EternalSonata yet but both are RPG's and I think they are decent from what I heard.

Halo 3 = waist. Worst game in the series in my opinion.

Ace Combat 6 = great game if you are a fan of flight sims.

Forza 2 = life draining game which is must have for driving sim fans.

GTA IV = Umm.... Most reviews give it a perfect score and to be honest it's well deserved. Probably the best game to come around since FF7.

    Games I currently have are:

    BioShock - (must buy)
    Crackdown
    GTA4 - (must buy)
    Guitar Hero II
    Guitar Hero III
    Halo 3
    Mass Effect - (must buy)
    Oblivion
Perfect Dark - (waste of money)
    Rainbow Six Vegas
    Rainbow Six Vegas 2

I think you should hold off on buying games though 4th quarter this year is going to be massive.

p.s. Word of Warning...if you buy Oblivion and Mass Effect at the same time... prepare to say goodbye to any outside life for a good 1-2 months.

Halo 3- must you ask why? YES
Total waste of good money. Its like fun for the first month then it gets REALLY boring.
Spend it on a better game like soul caliber 4 or burnout paradise
Forza 2 isnt bad I have it but I only play it when Im bored
And Im pree sure you cant play copied or burn'd on a xbox HDD
Because all my friends who have copy's of games have the mod chip in them

    Re: Best of 360?

Got crackdown and its not bad.
Halo 3 may be not as good as the others, but its good for lans. Surely it has more weapons and has beter gfx?
And i already had bioshock for PC cheat ;)

Got test drive unlimited for PC, but haven't played it much. If its good i may get it for 360 instead, racing games aren't the best when played on a keyboard lol.

Also, you can get demos and entire original xbox games over live, surely you can convert downloaded games into the same format as those and be able to play them?

Any Particular reason why you didnt like forza? Mass effect doesnt have 50 hours, I've beaten the game in normal difficulty with all the sidequest done in roughly 29 to 30 hours. I started playing higher difficulty which will maybe add another 2 to 3 hours.
if you're mainly into RPG's I suggest Oblivion. since you dont own it, buy the game of the year edition which comes with shivering isle and Knights of the nine. Another great and good looking rpg is "Eternal Sonata" I fell in love with this game and is surely one of the best rpg for the 360, but the only downside is the lenght of the game, its about 30 hours but well worth it.
But now if you're a hardcore Japanese RPG's fan. Then you must buy Lost Odyssey. This game is by far and hands down. the best RPG to come out since FF7 or EVEN BETTER. the story line is perfect, graphics are incredible, and voice acting couldnt be done any better. This is my favorite RPG (Besides FF9)

If you have any question feel free to ask me!

The handling of all the cars in forza was absolutely horrible. I could not go 10 meters without skidding into the sand, which then left me with the next 3 mins fishtailing on it till i got back on the road. Loved the cars, but the handling and braking was shit in a can.

yea i have Oblivion, i just didn't mention it cos its kinda old now. Had it for PC wen it first came out.

Eternal Sonata i looked at but it looked really childish and everything was music related. But i am definitely going to get Lost Odyssey as well as Blue Dragon.

Halo 2 > Halo 3 in LAN parties. Halo 2 has far better maps.

Umm... because it's realistic? Try tuning your cars handling and upgrading your suspension and tires. That'll fix it. And also learn to slow down and take turns like you should.

You can't drive a racing sim the same way you can drive a arcade racer. The sim game will have much more realistic physics that you need to take account for.

Once you get the hang of it, then Forza will be a blast. Just takes some time to get there. This is also the same for all the GranTurismo games on the PS.

GranTurismo5 is about as entertaining as watching paint dry. Nuff said.

Forza on the other hand is unique. The tracks are probably not as flashy as GT5 but for some weird reason its addictive. It's a bit too realistic for me though, the physics part anyways.

Sorry I forgot to mention Forza is known to be the most realistic Car sim out in the market! Listen, if you're having trouble to adapt to the gameplay just simply turn down some of the settings difficulty. I bought this game after being sick of your typical racing game that you can do a U turn going 140, it just simply gets boring, but with this game you can do some extreme stuff! you be suprise. And if you're going to pick up Blue dragon you might as well get Eternal Sonata. blue dragon is not less childish than eternal sonata. give it a rent at least! and by the way STAY AWAY FROM Two Worlds!

A game you must get is Bioshock. It's truely immense stuff, the detail of the water, the ingenious storyline, some of my friends even crapped themselves whilst they were playing it (a wtf? moment). If you're feeling gangsta' then get Saints Row, or Saints Row 2 when it comes out.
